This highlights the reason I opted out of the idea of raising the car from the sides.

Op just a question, this side of the car was in the air ? You were raising the other side?

All it takes is for the wheel of the jack to get stuck.

The jack become stalled, instead of moving under the car as it is raising.

It pushes the car off the jack stand.
No the other side was still on the ground. When I was lowering it I heard the jacket and move a hair and caught it a little late.

The Fender looks repairable, but speaking from experience those fenders are thin. I had my right fender fixed, but when they remounted it to the body it tore at the front. According to body shop Ford told them only 40-50% of the fenders stay in one piece when remounted on the car.

That rocker panel also only comes with the skirt piece.
