Ended up deleting my last post out of frustration. Long Story Short: Dropped my car at the dealer today for service, but they ended up telling me that they weren't sure if the problem ("clunk" sound) was covered under warranty since they didn't know what was causing it.
Wow, that's a new one from a dealership. Let's see ... the car has a 3 year, 30K mile warranty and is still well within the warranty period. But the dealership doesn't know how to fix it so they just tell you it must not be under warranty anymore. :headbonk:

After you guys accepted the Arbitrator's decision, how long did it take "Ford Motor Company" to contact you guys?
They left a voicemail after about a week telling me the name of the person assigned to the case, and said she would call me. I waited two more weeks and never got a call, so I called her. She then gave the dealer authorization to talk to me the same day. My packet from Ford to the dealer should have arrived this week. Now if I could just get the dealer to return my calls and confirm this info....

Did they contact you by phone or email?

The funny thing is that it appeared right after they changed the wheel bearing (July - August). I decided not to deal with them anymore and left with my car.
Wow, that's incredibly ridiculous! Isn't there another dealership you could take your car too?

That sucks. It's been pretty smooth for me so far. I'm working with the dealer I bought my Eco from. The rep from RAV department assigned to my case has been great. Apparently she's worked with the dealership previously and they had no problem helping me. I never really gave the dealership a hard time about the issues with my car that Ford refused to repair. It wasn't the dealership that manufactured the car and I don't blame them. So the salesman has been keeping in touch with me while I'm waiting for my car to go into production next week.

Congrats! Are you getting the same car again? Apologies if I missed this info in a previous post.

Nice! I'm still debating if I should get Ruby Red or Magnetic. Black is my favorite color, but it requires too much maintenance. :D

Good news:

  1. Today I got a call from someone from Ford (yay!). I'm going to get contacted by another Ford Rep in less than a week to start the replacement process (Him/Her and the Dealership).
  2. I took a chance and ended up taking my car to the Repair Shop that took care of my Mustang back in March (accident). We test drove the car and they fixed the "clunking" sound in less than 10 min. :D It was a loose part and it wasn't even caused by the accident that I had back in March. Good news is that they didn't charge me a dime (they rock!). I'm NEVER going back to that Ford Dealer for any type of service. This is the third time that they've damaged my car: 1) Scratches, 2) Dents, 3) and now that loose part (they were trying to "fix" the vibration issue).
Congrats!

With luck you will be able to see the two colors side by side at the dealer. I have a preference, but I will keep that a secret. :D

I will say that I get more comments about the color than anything else about the car.

Hey guys I am sorry to jump into the middle of the thread but hoping someone here can help me. I have been having a SUPER wonderful time with my vehicle been in the dealership 10days as of now and no progress. Between two visits to the dealership it has been in there possession a total of 17 days and only in mine 11 days I have NOT even had the car a month. Question I have is I have been reviewing Lemon Law for the state of KY three issues I am having I am hope someone here can shed some light on.

First the law states:

Covers any resident person who buys or contracts to
buy a new motor vehicle in Kentucky; and
any resident person who leases a new motor vehicle
in Kentucky after July 15, 1998.

I am a KY resident but the car was purchased in MD due to the craptastic dealers in my area. Does this mean I am not covered at all by KY Lemon Law

Second Question

It states the vehicle has to be registered in KY.... Where the vehicle has stayed in the dealership and the paperwork has never reached me yet how does this work?

Last question I am trying to find a definition of "attempt"..... The dealership has replaced the same part 3 times and NO dice so does replacing the same part three times count as attempts or do they need to be different items.

I have tried to seek legal advice to find out closest Lemon Lawyer is almost 3hours from me... :(

Cliff Notes on vehicle, took the vehicle in to have a TPMS resync done. They could not get the computer to respond they said to the resync they tried to reprogram the BCM. All I know is the vehicle I drove in would NO longer start or run. So that is where I am at the vehicle will NOT run or start and has made no progress from there own mouth since day #2 and I am on day #10

Sorry for the super long post hopefully someone here might be able to shed some light for me

You can cancel GAP and you may get money back depending on which plan you got. Some are like 300-400 and are non refundable, others are 800-1000 and are refundable if not used, given it hasn't been too long

Moonlight Q50S and loving it!

I see.

I spent $1,699 on ESP and $299 on GAP. The ESP almost paid itself since the car was at the dealer(s) for 46 days total (6 appointments) (46 days multiplied by $30 average rental = $1,380). I still want to cancel it since I don't see myself using their service that often again. I'll probably go with another car if I start having issues again. On another note: They never offered me anything "extra" for all the trouble they made me go through (service dept)...

I'll ask the sales manager once I meet with him again.

You should have included that information with your sales contract and you would have been refunded.

I finally got my paperwork. I thought part of the BBB process was it pays for any modifications done to the car if it has to be replaced. I'm reading on the paperwork it says the vehicle will be replaced (not including any modifications or additions after the vehicle purchase Or lease)

So I would be out a lot if I filed and won

The only thing that you would get reimbursed for would be window tint or paint protection treatment not new exhaust, wheels, suspension mods or things of that nature. The car must be returned to stock with all original equipment.

Awesome! Get it done quickly  *edit* Wait, I thought they had to pay for your mods. *edit* Maybe NC doesn't?

That information was included (ESP & GAP), but I'm confused about the whole replacement process. I'll know once I talk to the Sales Manager and get Ford's "Package/Statement" ($$$).

It should have a breakdown of everything on your arbitration decision paperwork.

Well I guess I can't file because I can't return to stock bummer

I haven't filed yet just got the paperwork and read that about a replacement. I guess I could file and see what happens. But don't want to lose my exhaust and wheels in the process
