I am new to the Mustang world and have a 2019 with the digital dash. I do not have the gauges in the middle of the dash which includes oil pressure. I cannot find a LED oil pressure or oil temperature gauge in the selection for the main dash are these not included as a choice? Seems strange if they are not.

As I was just in mine last night viewing options again to see what I wanted if it’s the same as mine or close should be these steps. Hit the pony on your steering wheel, go down to configure my gauges or something similar. Should have a list of roughly 8 or so options and I remember seeing oil pressure in there I just didn’t care to have that one since I have the two above my radio and one is oil pressure.

I don’t thin RHD’s get oil pressure … :frown:

You can turn the gauge on (with ForScan) but it does nothing.

You can also turn the diff temp on with ForScan and that one works :like:

Definitely no oil pressure or oil temperature gauge in digital form, which seems crazy to me
All these other silly ones that have no relevance. Yes it is a right hand drive for New Zealand. These are Australian spec cars which have a lot of different things as apposed to left hand drives.

You're right, it's ridiculous. The data's on the bus, why not let it be displayed? Even oil temperature is there (I got it by swapping my dash gauges for those from a GT350), so why on Earth do they keep you from putting it on the screen?

When the digital dash first came out it had oil temp/pressure gauge (sorry, I forgot which one). There was an mid year update to the software and the gauge was deleted. I do not recall if an explanation was ever given.

I think the oil temperature was inferred anyway. There's no sensor. So it wasn't actually as useful as it may have seemed.
The oil pressure gauge missing from RHD vehicles is a really strange one. It makes no sense to me. On LHD it's enabled from the factory. On RHD you can enable it with ForScan, but as WD said, it does't work, you just get a dead gauge.

I suspect (but not proven) that the pressure sensor that is used by the gauge is in or around the oil cooler take off plate area. As that area is different on the RHD cars, it may explain why its missing.

I have tuned the gauge on via ForSkin, but soon turned it off again once I realised it did nothing ... :frown: (my car is a 2020 if there is a chance that makes a difference).

I don't think it's a RHD thing, I think it is a non-US market car thing. I have the digital dash and don't have oil pressure as a choice. What I have is volts, a/f ratio, boost/vacuum, inlet air temp, transmission temp and cylinder head temp.

But if you turn it on with ForSkin, does it work ?

Just because you don’t have the gauge doesn’t mean it wouldn’t work (like the diff / axle temp gauge on a euro) :like:

Mine is Euro-spec and had the oil pressure gauge active from the factory.
The diff temperature was inactive, but once activated with ForScan it does work fine.

The 401a has always had oil pressure. The first run in 18’ also had oil temp. Then there was a dealer update to the dash (not Sync) and the temp gauge went poof, never to be seen again. Ford has never answered why.
