Leather/Premium GT problem

Right where the seatbelt holder is attached to the seat with the magnet do you guys have a tear starting to form in the crevice of where the strap and the seat connect? i do, it is very small but bugs me in a 45k car. I know it is a tear but I feel it is due to general use. I think this is a Fault of Ford's. Anybody else have this problem?

Trade that thing in, leather seats suck. I would rather have cloth.

Mine is fine but only has 1100 miles on her. I did have a 2013 Boss with cloth recaro seats that ford had to replace the drivers seat because of ware. I bought it used with 5000 miles and the previous owner was not heavy. Ford was real good to work with I must say.

Needless to say, that leather strap is poorly designed.

Mine has 2400 miles and no cuts or tears yet. I think it's because when I bought mine I was aware of the tears occurring so every time I put my seat belt on I pull the belt out parallel with the door panel and then I pull it across me. My belief is that the tear is from the seat belt cutting into the leather

That's why I don't use mine. (The straps not the seatbelts)

I didn't notice till 5000 miles. I try to ignore but every time I wash my baby and get inside I cringe. Leather seats to me feel so better. My old Porsche Cayenne had leather that lasted 10 years no problem. So I may try to use my warranty for them to fix it. Because I'm gentle to my car everywhere except tires and 2nd gear lol

I certainly will but that will be at my oil change so 3600 miles from now aka 2 months or so. :( I tried not using the belt hold to save my leather but I'm 220 with 47 inch chest. Still flexible but can't for the love of life reach the belt without dying. One might say but the seat belt on before you start moving but to them I say "no".

Same here. It's not that much more difficult to grab the seat belt without it.
