The other thread , a guy got it repaired under warranty. This seems like a recall in the making or every leather seat owner to get repaired on Ford's dime.

11k miles and mine's okay. And I do use the strap. Keeping my fingers crossed and I'll now be mindful when pulling the belt out.

I must have gotten an anti-lemon. I honestly can't think of one issue or problem with fit, finish, mechanical, etc.

Of course, I'm still running around with a dented rear quarter panel and damaged rear bumper as a result of a lady backing into Ruby while she was parked. My appointment with the body shop to have her repaired is 8/26, and I'm ready to have her looking her best again.

Well, whether or not the seatbelt cuts into the leather is totally dependent on your seating position. So if you sit close to the steering wheel, it's more likely to cut into the leather. If you're tall or like to sit further away, the seatbelt's path wont likely cut into the strap.

Ford should've used the convertible style seatbelt presenters for the fastbacks... or had height adjustable seatbelts.

That makes sense because I'm a short guy, and I'm About 5'6"-5'7"

Yep. I'm a little over six feet and sit pretty far back due to my long legs. Also have seat lowered as far down as it'll go.

1200 miles on mine and I have it. My seats way forward and it's definitely from the belt sawing at it. Looking at it I don't see it getting worse though so I'm just going to seal the cut edges with something and leave it be.

You should report this to FordService on here so they can record/document the issue and send it up the chain. Shouldn't be happening on a $30K+ car this soon.

Thanks for this thread. Found I have the same problem. It's not terrible but I can see it starting to tear @9k miles and will only get worse over time.

Not using the strap is not a good solution for me because the seat belt digs into my neck. Suppose I could raise the seat but then I loose my seating position.
