Launching on a hard tire

Looks like I'll have to run on a hard tire. In this case, my Indy 500 Firehawk 285/35R19. Yay me !
Why you ask ? My good bias plies are illegal in the REAL STREET class. SO, any tips, tricks anyone
can pass along ? I'm really good with getting the most grip outta these on the street, but the
1/4 mile is a totally different animal. Thanks !

I have used All Season and Summer tires at the drag strip. I actually documented most of my results in a video on YouTube. My results with a summer tire were very frustrating initially, in the video, I actually didn't post the countless spin outs with it.

Here's what my advice will be for summer tires, drop the tire pressure the same way you would drop a drag tire. Avoid the water box if there are any. If you are using a summer tire, DO A BURNOUT, yes. I don't care what others say, I'm sharing my experience using them to do like 10 ore more passes.

For a very hard compound like All Seasons, DO NOT do burnout but you will have to modulate throttle. I found the very hard all seasons to be more consistent than summer ones without any burnouts which is why I say burnout the summer tires. Goodluck

I do a 3 or 4 second burnout even with A/S tires. The idea is to clean them.

No trailering, but basically yes "off the trailer".
No test n tunes between now and the event, hence why this thread exists.

I would suggest lining up out of the groove, so that both tires can take advantage of the VHT that has not been driven on previously.

Man, that 911 Turbo is my dream car! I haven’t checked up on them lately though. Does the 2025 make good power and if so, do you think you’ve got a good shot against him?

That's a OTB 10.0 1/4 mile car all day long !
My only chance(s) is that he:

1. He redlights
2. I tree him something fierce
