Anytime you can get that kind of power with a warranty it's a steal. Try building it yourself and in the process voiding your warranty for that price.

Not to mention no hassle, buy and drive away your new supercharged toy.

It's not that great of a deal...the only thing you're saving is the cost of the install for the supercharger. However you're still paying full price for a base car.

It is a sale gimmick.....Its a dealership. They will try to up-sell you when you get there. Here is where is is pretty awesome, if you can stick to your guns, and buy the base with 727 HP for 40K, then it an awesome buy. What other brand new car can you buy for 40k that has 727 HP (more HP than a Hellcat) that is as well built as a new S550?

There are tons of people that are going to jump on this deal.

The deal looks good for those who don't do their own work and want a warranty right off the bat.

However, if you get a manual you would/should want upgraded halfshafts that another poster already mentioned ($1500 parts only).

And if you get either trans. you might want to upgrade the OPG/timing sprocket. ($600 parts only).

My question is if you get these parts installed by the dealer is the warranty still valid as the engine is getting cracked open? What if you want to install those parts yourself?

If the warranty is important you would want to read the fine print very carefully, imo.

Interesting since supposedly you can only get the warranty if it's installed by a Roush certified shop anyways.

And the last thing @Kyle@ROUSH said when they released the Stage 2 is that it did NOT have a warranty available.

So if your buddy has that warranty I hope he has it in writing.

If you only have a 3 yr warranty on the SC then it's not a great deal as Ford will probably laugh in your face if you come to them with an engine or trans problem.

well they selling them like hotcakes... no one murdered yet at a C&C!

for the record. stage 1 =warranty. stage 2 upgrade you lose powertrain warranty but still have parts warranty on the all the stuff with the blower and the blower itself.

smart thing to do is just get stage 1 with the warranty and after the car has broken in and not blown up...upgrade to 2 down the road.

smarter thing to do is get a whipple but obviously can't finance it then but at least you can resale the whipple unlike the roush because the block got grinded down.

I have the Phase 1 dealer Installed before delivery . Only reason I went with Roush Ford Racing supercharger peace of mind and warranty. Before having dealer install Roush supercharger I called Ford directly and Roush to find out how the warranty works. Ford was still on 3-year 36000 bumper to bumper with the Roush extended warranty. If Ford can prove the Roush supercharger caused the damage to whatever part brakes Roush will cover the warranty for up to $11,500. This includes half shafts Driveline transmission engine whole bunch of parts if you read the warranty guide. I really wanted the Whipple because of the power it puts down but when it came to it Ford recommended Roush and said they work with each other and that they have very safe conservative Tune. Warranty was very important that's why I went with the Ford Racing Roush supercharger. If I did not care about the warranty I probably would have done a beef cake special.
