Hey guys,

Just spoke to my shop today regarding coilover kits..

They said for a cheap alternative BC Racing..

But if I wanted actual quality they said either Steeda Coilover kit or KW V3 kit.

I want to be able to have a tight fit without sacrificing performance and also don’t want a poor quality product.

Thanks!

Get KW if you want KW. No need to settle for BC if you can pay for the KW price. Let us know if you'd like a quote.

if you want GOOD coilovers it'll be $3000 or more. Steeda's coil-over is their Koni-derived Pro-action Adjustable damper with a different spring mount so it'll take industry standard 2.5" springs.

You can buy the cheap-crap BC racing and then send it off to a specialist to rip it apart and replace the worthless innards with Bilstein pistons and shims. Then you'd be looking at close to 2 grand.

I’m deciding between Bilstein and KW V3

I personally bought Bilstein B16, but haven't installed them yet. Will do over next couple of weeks, but the price to performance ratio for them seems pretty good and they're adjustable for compression/damping. The reviews seem good. You can get them for around $1600.

I'm working with Fortune Auto to donate my car for R&D for a Pro-2way application (remote reservoir) and also valving for more "sensible" spring rates like 6kg/mm and 18kg/mm (vs 10/12) and 0.5" minimum drop instead of 1"-3".

crossing-fingers.

The "problem" with Bilstein's 1-way adjust is " adjusting rebound and compression at the same time". Basically you're changing the bleed orifice but there is no check-valve to bias it just/mostly one way.

Sounds great and I would definitely have liked about 0.5” drop, but not too many options for that with coil overs.
