Well, I bit the bullet and bought some long tube headers. Got a killer deal thanks to AlexLazarus of American Muscle. I'll be sure to take lots of pictures once they arrive and of the install. I'll also post clips with my current catback. I'm 90% sure I'm going to hack up the factory connection point and make it a true 3" system once I get them installed.

I haven't ordered parts online in a while, I forgot how exited you get waiting for them :)

Congrats!

Ordered the exact same LTHs but I went through Lethal. I see you have an SCTX4...who is tuning you for the headers?

I'll get it tuned locally, I've never been a fan of mail order tunes.

Who is going to tune it? I'll take a datalogged e-mail tune over an unknown tuner with little Coyote experience.

Sounds like Kooks or SW is the way to go. I'll probably order mine by the end of next month now that I don't have to worry about waking my neighbors up everyone morning. Wonder who has the best price. Hmmm...

There's plenty of Coyote's in the area and always some nice looking cars outside their shop. He should have plenty of Coyote experience. I doubt he has anywhere close to one of the company's like "Bama or Lund" but atleast he can tune the car that day, in front of me. Rather than sending out a datalog, waiting for their response, you re-tune the car, its still fucked up... re-datalog and repeat the process. If I were close to one of those well known tuners I would bring the car in. But as for mail-order, i do not trust it one bit. For a N/A motor, it's not as much of a big deal, but still... Run it too lean, or possibly fuck up the timing etc is a no-go.

American Muscle gave me a great deal man, I highly suggest you PM AMAlexLazarus. I don't know if I'm able to say the price I paid for these, but it'll definitely surprise you.

^generally speaking, yes, but tuning for the 15GT's hasn't been perfected by all of the local tuners. With Lund, you know you are getting a high quality tune from arguably one of the best tuners in the industry. My Lund tune for my Kooks longtube 1 7/8, hi flow H pipe, and Kooks catback was spot on, zero changes even after dataloging. Same thing with my TVS, Lund sent over one tune and it was perfect, even after a few dyno pulls and a few pass's at the dragstrip.

You made the right choice for your exhaust, I'd recommend getting in touch with beefcake and getting a Lund tune for your new exhaust setup.

any of the big three are a great choice on the headers

I would highly recommend one of our lund custom tunes,

we have the quickest 2015 out there right now, and it is remote tuned, same tune we sell to our customers, our 11 car goes 8.1's and is remote tuned by lund. you simply cannot beat what you get there!

If your local tuner has plenty of Coyote experience that's awesome. However none of this you posted is much of a concern anymore. Issues that are being dealt with right now are smooth driveability and torque management/clutch protection, neither of which can be perfected on a dyno alone. Pretty much all of the tuners know where to start with AFR(0.82 lambda most of the time) and leave timing to the PCM itself.

I don't know, I need to read up more about these mail order tunes and what I can on the new computers in the '15. I'm coming from my old '92 Foxbody with it's A9L and a piggy back chip. Just weary on the whole process to be honest.

Hey grimace im glad u posted that i was wondering about timimg myself,do the tuners do any timimg adjustments with the tune or leave it to pcm.I was under the impression they addeded some timing but even if they did the pcm would still adjust it depending on knock and load/heat.

Any benefit to getting the catted version vs just keeping factory manifolds? Is there more sound? I would go catless but don't know if I want to deal with inspection issues.

Another question, if you get a catless version, can you swap out the cats with the catless version pipes and vice versa?

If you look at the kit, that section of pipe is removeable. So I don't see what that wouldnt be possible. And I went catted due to inspection BS.
