Manley H Beams and off the shelf pistons typically won't handle 1500hp. Is the block sleeved?

Thank you all for the input.

so I opened my oil filter and found this :(

Now that I found the issue. I will be looking at my options for built long blocks.

If you have any suggestions on long blocks let me know!

Thank you!

Ouch. Well, a lot of us were wrong. That thing must be pretty worn somewhere the way it was rattling around. Good luck with the rebuild.

Can you post back some pics if the motors available for teardown to see wtfhappened?
Only learn so much from assembly, real knowledge seems to come from teardown.

Im going for 700-850 wheel at the most.
Not Sleeved.
It was between this @$10,200 and the aluminator for @$9,700 500 bucks cheaper with alot less parts.

Do you have any better long blocks at that 10k price range?

What was the combo? How many miles on the Whipple? 91? 93? E-85?

If your heads are good, get an Aluminator shortblock if you're only looking for 750-800. For that matter, maybe you can find a local shop to put rods & pistons in your block if it'll clean up. If you're lucky crank only needs polished.
