Knock-off PF22.2 better than the original?

I watch Auto Fanatic on YouTube and this video popped up today.

Many of us know the capabilities of the PF22.2 foam cannon. Well, here’s a Chinese knockoff that is 1/4 the price and foams just as well. He doesn’t list what the head is made of but from the video it looks like chrome-plated brass.

A few things that come to mind...........................

- The body is in fact copper.

- The connection point between the cannon body and the plastic bottle adaptor looks very fragile, I can see that snapping and separating if it tipped over.

- Overall, the plastics used look cheap and nasty.

- No mention of the bottle being HPDE plastic, which means it will be fragile.

- The MTM has a much wider bottle opening, of all the things they copied, I'm surprised they didn't match the MTM in this regard.

- It might be cheap, but how long is it going to last? Am I going to have to replace the thing four times to when I could by one MTM and have it last?

- Can I get replacement parts other than the spare mesh filter they provide? As in replacement or spare bottles? A new pickup filter? Replacement bottle adaptors when the original inevitably breaks?

As is usually the case, there is a reason for a product being so cheap compared to the competition.

All good points, however he did say he’s used his original PF22 for a dozen years and has never done maintenance on it.

This appears to be marketed to the weekend warrior crowd and not the semi-pro or diehards.

Precisely what I was thinking, Brian and with two MTM's, I don't need a third.

I just got stung on a compression tester I ordered from Amazon. In this case, I bought cheap because I'm probably going to use it like once or twice a year.

Despite it being advertised as being suitable for small engines, turns out it's not. For the first time ever, I actually sent it back as it wasn't a mistake made by me, they advertised incorrectly.

So, I should have done my research better and spent the extra money, then I wouldn't have to mess about lodging a return.
