Yeah, this comes from skin oils and dirt over time. You'll want a nice leather/upholstery brush and a good leather cleaner. Or you can use a diluted APC, that's what I do. Will take a lot of scrubbing and effort but it's doable.

Using an APC can work at cleaning leather but these products are higher in pH and are something you don't want to use on leather a lot.

I recently became acquainted with Colour Lock leather products.

Their Strong Leather Cleaner is brilliant. This is a foaming product best teamed with a leather brush. Apply the cleaner into the brush, not the leather, and start scrubbing. Wipe away the residue with a towel.

Once cleaned, follow up with Leather Protector.

These products are made from a company that only deals with leather and leather like materials. The finish after treatment is a clean, matte appearance.

Another product that I really like for leather cleaning is Koch Chemie PO Pol Star. The benefit with Pol Star is that is dilutable, meaning if the first attempt is lacking power, up your dilution ratio you will need a spray bottle to dilute into. Dilutable from 1:5 - 1:10, I use 1:20). Pol Star is, unlike an APC, pH neutral meaning it can be used more safely on leather or interior surfaces. Use this the same as above.

Pol Star will also leave a small amount of protection behind.

<shaking my head in amazement...AGAIN>

D: Are you sure you're not sponsored by someone? <chuckling> I swear, you have more knowledge and more products on the subject of detailing than I can imagine...no kidding. Impressive.

And oh, BTW, what DON'T you have photos of? :cool:

No doubt all good tips, I'm just not a stickler about interiors like I am exteriors. Probably because I can't make the inside shine as well. <bigger grin> You clearly have a much more severe case of OCD than I, amigo but IMHO, that's a good thing.

Rock On!
