I have a 2017 Mustang GT. My key fobs are not being detected by my car and the TPMS light is on. The issue is not the key fobs themselves (they have been replaced/reprogrammed more than once) and it’s not the actual sensors in the tires (they are less than a year old). They worked intermittently when I bought the car used in 2020 and always stop working at the same time. Does anyone know where there may be a connection with those 2? BCM? There is no other light on in the dash. Only the TPMS light. I’m having to manually unlock my door and keep the key in the cup holder, otherwise it says key not detected (I’m aware the car still runs without it in the cup holder). I’m so frustrated with it.
Second issue: I replaced the crap intake manifold a few months ago because the flap was stuck on the stock manifold. I put in a 2018 manifold with the lockouts then had it tuned at the only performance shop in my area. I did not change out the fuel injectors when I did the IM. The car runs ok but I still seem to hear a misfire. Again, no light is on, but I feel like it’s a little sluggish at times. This is my daily driver and I love my car, I just want it to run like it’s supposed to. My husband is pushing met to I rid of it but it’s paid off and I do not want another car payment. Anybody have any thoughts on what it could be? I just picked it up from a mechanic and he said the key fobs are fine, it has to be something electrical in the car.

Many strange symptoms can pop up when the car's battery is weak or dying. Just sayin'...

The battery was the first thing I replaced when the IM was having issues (before I knew that was the issue).

Have you checked for diagnostic codes (DTCs)? If you don't have a code reader, many auto parts stores will check codes for you for free. That will help you zero in on the problem(s). If you take your husband's advice and try to sell it with unresolved issues, any potential buyer will certainly beat you up on the price.

I dont think they should be related. The wireless key module and the TPMS modules are different (I believe).

have you had the battery replaced in the key? Start there.

as for the TPMS, well usually they fail individually, but sometimes with the aftermarket sensors the car wont detect them and you need to force it… and of course they dont last forever. I have three sets of wheels and I think only 70% of my wheel TPMS are currently working. I need to replace 2 or 3.
