K brace

I tried to find just the k brace for the ford performance strut bar, any idea where I can get one, a link would be much appreciated.

If its not available for purchase, what do strut towers lose without the k brace installed with it?

At that price I would try and find one used or go aftermarket. I got the entire FRPP kit with the K-brace cheaper than that...

FR3Z16K038A is just the k bar. Looks like you can get it for about $120 from dealerships. Having the strut tower and k braces together gives you a triangular bracing pattern rather than just a straight line and reduces flex more than just the tower brace.

might also see if you can find one in a salvage yard ? if the car took a hit in the rear end the front would be ok all of the convertibles come stranded with the k brace even the V 6's its part of the way ford stiffens up the convertible cars

You can get the black strut brace with K brace for about 150 at whitebearlake. I don't know why the silver one is more expensive, at least the gt350 one is supposedly lighter.

Yeah, it is best to buy the kit. I tried to piece it out and it got crazy expensive quick. My goal was to go with a Steeda brace and get the k-brace by itself.

The black one is stainless too...I believe the only notable difference is in the powdercoating, which doesn't explain the cost difference. Now, the GT350R one is aluminum, that one's about 300.
