Just ordered MPSS tires from Discount Tires

Been looking for the last 2-3 months for a set of Michellin Pilot Super Sports for my GT350. Between Tire Rack and Discount Tire, they've been either completely out of stock on both sizes, or out of one size. I won't need the tires until Oct/Nov when the car gets put away for the Winter. But with the prices already gone up, and constant out of stock, when I saw them available on Discount Tire, I jumped on them. Better that they sit in my house for 2-3 months, than not have any available when I need them.
And now they're already listed as low stock.

Americas Tire here in California, Discount Tire in the rest of the country is now out of the MPSS but does have the OE sport cup 2’s.

I wanted a set of the Porsche spec Cup 2's. Michelin stating they will start production of the fronts in Oct, and no current ETA to start prodution on the rears at this time. I called at least 30 dealers around the country. There is not a set to be found. Even had a couple cool guys help me out and check to see if TireRack has a set in reserve for Porsche dealers only...nada...nothing.

But, if you're like me and not even remotely dead set on Michelin, there are great tires in our sizes available. Conti's are avaialble, GY Supercar 3R's available, R888R's available, etc.

Yeah, it's been crazy with tires. Keeping my fingers crossed that I actually get them.

same here.. I want the factory size tire and something with longer thread life. I have 5k on the MPSC2, no track, and feel like I need to act now or risk not having choices come spring.

And they look utterly amazing too. But alas, I have given up. They’re just not out there.

I don’t even know what car those sizes are actually off of, but I bet those guys are frustrated.

The shitty part is I came tbis close to getting a set. Had a member on here with two front with about 3-400 miles on them. Was gonna get them. Then I found two rears at my local dealer (of all the dumb luck), but when the guy went in the back to check them out, they were mounted on wheels. When he looked in the system he discovered they were spoken for but the guy hadn’t come to pick them up yet. Dang the luck.

@GAGT350 Thank you for looking into that. We can confirm this looks to be accurate however we would want to confirm with the store locations that these tires are available and not being held for someone, as well they are not at the same store location.

Well they arrived, 5 days after I ordered them. Feel like I won a lottery, being able to get my hand on a set of them. Never realized either just how wide these tires are. Sitting on the car, with it's low clearance, you only see the outside basically.

Ordered MPSS 305/35/19 for rear from Discount Tires Friday and they arrived today. Unfortunately they are out of 295/35/19 PS4S for the front and Michelin can't give them eta. Luckily not urgent for awhile, think I can get to hibernation with current ones and swap out in spring.
