Tonight is a momentous occasion. After waiting 6 weeks for the Stage 2 kit from Whipple, I installed it along with a MMR OPG and TG.

Upon starting it up and taking a quick drive, I noticed it kept throwing two codes P0390 and P0394. These are Bank2 Camshaft position sensor B. I remember it was really tough to get the harness back behind the driver's side valve cover to come free and wondered if I damaged the wiring. After letting it cool, I unplugged it, stripped back the loom and sure enough... Broken wire.

Fixed that and took her for a spin... I don't have much to say beyond this: OMG! Holy crap! Scary fast! My wife's knuckles were white grabbing the door handle and the cupholder after one 2nd gear pull.

No human should be able to have this much fun! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

It's really crying now to get rid of the 3.73 gears. They're just too much gear for the power.

I just took my whipple car out for a drive and it continues to put a smile on my face. I ended up ditching the 3.73s for 3.31 and it made the power much more useable

A gear swap will probably be my next mod as well. In the meantime, I use the flight control at -25% in 1st and -20% in 2nd to help make the 3.73s more manageable.

Have you tried line lock yet since the install?...It's fantastic with the Whipple in 2nd gear!

Congrats! Enjoy! I personally love my 373's. Get rid of the crap P-Zeros out back, and throw some decent 305's on. I get plenty of traction. Other than 1st gear. But u ain't getting too much traction in first with any gear ratio.

Are you running 305s on the stock 9.5 PP rim? I wanted to do that, but was advised 305 wouldn't fit correctly.

I personally have a 10 inch rim in the rear now. However, I have seen 305's fit just fine on the stock 9.5 inch rim. Some tires run a bit wider, and don't fit as well. I've seen several Nitto 305 tires fit fine on the 9.5 inch. The Nittos seem to run just a bit narrower.

Nice, I'm doing my install today and over the weekend. Doing the OPG/CS today, and going to see how far I can get working by myself on the rest of it.

There's some great threads here on OPG installs with lots of pics and info from forums members. Do a search and you will be wise. You can also reach out to me if you get stuck

If you can do the OPG, you'll find that installing the Whipple kit is MUCH easier! The manual could be clearer in some places but will get you by. I marked up mine with the intent of sending it to Whipple for review.

I did my OPG/TG myself and had no issues apart from getting the one pickup tube bolt started. I put the bolt in ahead of time and put an o-ring around it to keep it from falling out. Then I installed the pump. The o-ring stays there trapped in the hole through the pickup tube flange. It can't come out.

I took a GearWrench ratcheting combination wrench, heated the shank close to the head with a oxy/acetylene torch and bent the handle at an angle. Basically think of how a typical combination wrench looks on the closed end. My gear wrench now looks like that (and is not useful for loosening bolts anymore)

The flex head ratcheting wrenches didn't work for me because the head would fold rather than support the bolt. I guess I could have set the flex how I needed it and secure it that way with a weld bead or CA glue... Didn't think of it at the time.

Throw some Mickey Thompson ET S/S on that baby and I guarantee 1-3 will be useful again. Congrats and welcome to the family!
