spoiler from MNstang, great deal, great packing. Cleaned all the old tape off, do i need the pre-shaped tape adhesive or will strips of VHB work? And, what the hell are the little red clip/pop things for?

Those red tabs sit in one of the holes in the trunk if you’re removing a factory spoiler for the new spoiler.

As for the tape, I would get a wide roll of 3M and cut to fit and follow what Ford did. Will help keep the spoiler down at higher speeds but also helps with water intrusion

I can offer some advice. I had to take my PP1 spoiler off because the crap tape Ford uses stopped holding it down. https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/base-spoiler-lifting-from-the-ends.161580/post-3295204

This some tough stuff (#5925). Not sure if it is as thick as you want (this is 0.025" or .64mm). The roll is 2 inches wide. I purchased from Amazon.

Of course, clean, clean, clean both surfaces....and make sure you don't have ceramic coat where you are making contact.
