I haven't driven my girl in almost a month but she was uncovered in the garage and wound up getting pretty dusty. So, with the OAT in the mid 70's, I decided to give her a bath.

Brake Buster on the wheels..

Rinsed her off then foamed with Reset.

After about ten minutes of dwell time..

Rinsed again then hand-washed, rinsed, then a final rinse with CR Spotless water. Pulled her into the garage and dried her off with THE best "drying aid" on the market, my Metrovac Max Blaster.

I'd been hurrying things along because we were supposed to have a cold front blow through with 40mph gusts. I made it but I was beat so no "after" photo. Let her sit overnight and I'll give her a coat of Amplify today although it's a wee bit chilly and nearly forty degrees cooler than yesterday with the current temp at FORTY-ONE!

Yeah my garage remodel is interfering with my cleaning capabilities lol. Itā€™s dropping into the 40s here for the next few days so I guess Iā€™ll just have to suffer a little longer.

Enjoy those balmy temps. High today is mid 30s and lows the next few nights in the teens.

Yeah I gotta figure out a creative [read: cheap-ish] way to get a little heat in my garage. Iā€™ve thought about one of those Mitsubishi split units but Iā€™m afraid to find out.

Looks great!

Curious why the hood is popped when washing? Not trying to jab at ya, just curious...

No sweat, TF and here's the reason.

No rain tray so I lay towels over most of the engine and I leave the hood popped AND another towel on the steering wheel to REMIND my stupid ass to remove the engine towels BEFORE starting the motor. <smile> I've come close..twice. <grin>

Michael: Your method works just as well. I keep the engine bay pretty darn clean and since she isn't a DD, the bay only needs a wipe down afterward. But, if you aren't using the rain tray, even being careful you'll still get a ton of water in there which is the reason for the towels.
