I ordered the JTL Oil Catch can P/N - 3030P. This assembly is specified for passenger side 2015-2019 Mustang with Whipple SC.

As it turns out the installation instructions that are included do not work for the 2018, or at least my 2018. I show how I mounted the can in an alternate location.

Will not be able to put washer fluid in or service the catch can at this location
Would need to have the bracket be longer to mount here and be usable

I chose to mount off of the strut tower at a ground wire location
NOTE: the ground lugs under the bracket
When checking with an Ohm meter the ground impedance was too high

The bracket has to go under the wire lug for a good ground connection

Moved the SC IC pump ground to an alternate location as well

I used JLT on my Raptor I just sold, but went with UPR for the 2019 Mustang with Whipple. I still think it’s over priced but was hopping for a drama free install. Just received the UPR looks like a nice kit, now I just waiting for the Whipple and the car to show up.

Whatever works for you is all that matters BUT mine went right on as instructed and no issues.

Don't know what to say other than clearly from the pictures I show, that oriented the same as you have it, there is interference with the windshield washer bottle lid. Maybe my bottle is positioned different from the factory but I don't feel like pulling the fascia off to investigate.

Since it's raining here today I replaced the 30deg(?) JTL connector with a right angled connector at the valve cover that I had left over from the Whipple install and shortened the valve cover to the can inlet hose. I think the loop was not a good thing.

Here's a couple of shots.....

The nice thing about where I have it placed is getting the bottom off is easy and only requires a slight tilt when coming out. So check often to see how long it takes to fill about half way.

FWIW,

Rob
