I am dealing with it. I just read the thread lol... Fuck said I was even talking to you in the first place? Did I quote your SIMPLE ass question? No. FOH.
Apparently, it was a pretty good sales pitch for people who've only done things one time.

I've just fixed the thingy with no knob, my impressions:

The throttle seems to have a shorter trip from zero to full and I think this is the trick that makes drivers feel it's revs jump up quicker, it's a nice feeling anyway...specialy in stop and go B roads and in town.

On open roads the engine feels the same, certainly no extra juice at any speed.

I must say I have a Lund 93 tune with a Steeda CAI, maybe if I had a full stock engine I might have found more goodies then I found.

Last but not least, price on my opinion is that price is too high, specially for those buyers living on the wrong side of the pond...

Works that good eh? I'd like to get a tune but don't want to mess with the warranty until it's over. If the Pedalmax improves the throttle response that much i'll just go that route until i decide to do a tune. My car just feels like it's being held back.
That's a perfect description of how the car feels from the factory. The PedalMax eliminates that.

I think I'm going to give this thing a try. Too many positive reviews here to ignore. I'm also hesitant to tune the car and void the warranty so this may be a good intermediate step until my warranty expires and I go nuts.

Debating on whether or not I want/need the knob. Sounds like most people are loving 100%.

In regards to the knob, if you do get it, does it always need to be connected or can you set whatever you want and then disconnect it from the unit? (I'm guessing it always has to be connected).

For those that have gone the knob route, what are your thoughts? Do you recommend it or is it pointless since you're always running at 100%?

***Sorry if any of this has been covered somewhere in here. I read the first 10 pages of the thread and then gave up and just posted my questions***
I have my knob set at 50% all the time.

What I'd rather have is something that makes the engine rev up and down faster. Probably going to have to lighten up some pulleys. I swear you do a rev it takes a month to get up and then another year to tone down. Almost as if I intended to go that slowly. I need my fast revs... I need fast reeeevvvs! :)

I love my JMS and run it at 100% always, but you aren't going to make the engine rev faster with it. The signals are always sent immediately, and the intake valve responds faster than the limits of human perception. Other mechanical factors are limiting your ability to rev faster.

I've noticed an exception to this, which is that down revving for up shifting happens much slower when the car is cold.

Well I didn't expect the JMS to solve that. I know it's rotating mass and computer programming. Changing to lighter pullies in my Subaru was night a day, really. Might end up doing the same on the Mus.

If you do that and get good results (or otherwise), I'd love to hear about it!

The more I drive it the more it really feels like it just gives more throttle than you are pressing the gas pedal. JMS said that is not the case but really feels like that. Definitely makes it feel a lot faster around town partial throttle!

So if you're too lazy to push the pedal down, get this?

No thanks, when I push the pedal down 20% I want 20% throttle, when I push it down 100% I want 100%. I don't want 100% when I have the throttle pedal at 20%.

problem is that it's not really 20% when you press it due to the OEM accel curve they use to be more gas economical.
