JLT CAI withOUT a tune?

So what's the power difference between a jlt and let's say an airaid if both are tuned? Would it be worth it to go to a jlt if already have an airaid?

Has nothing to do with more air flow,velocity and calibrating the maf for the larger tube,which is done for drivability.Believe what u want,their all good cai the big tubes give u room for improvement down the road if u want to go Fi.

As for the other kits, it'll be interesting to see some real world data and third party testing. Interesting theory on replacing the MAF sensor with an aftermarket unit, but an entire different can of worms there.

Yes ur right a couple hp is a couple hp,again was my point saying a intake with no tune is pointless,thats false.I agree i would not buy an intake wheir i had to buy a new maf also,not worth it imo.As i said before your intake along with a few others are all great cai and make power either tuned or not tuned,and im just talking cai/tune without tuning the engine.

CAI does very little for performance unless you're running some deep NA mods. Few HP, thats about it. Stock airbox isn't bad. I made 441rwhp on my 2014 with long tubes, no cats and some tuning, still ran the stock box.

If you run a larger TB and intake manifold opening, the CAI becomes more relevant.

Absolutely agree thats why i keep saying it does not matter how big of an intake tube u have when your na and minor bolt ons.The air still has to go through the tb and intake.I think alot of guys when they say tune are meaning tuning the engine with a cai,then their are some noticeable gains.

Imo no the difference if any u will never notice.Both are good intakes so its preference thing.Ask livernoise why they use the airaid.All they do is dremel out a few small things on the inside,tube is same diameter and it works well for them.

JLT is on the fastest mustangs in the world and have been on mustangs that set records. My past 4 mustangs have all had JLT cold air intakes.

I don't think any other cold air intake company can make the same claim? I question because I don't know.

On their intake when they bore out the maf sampling tube it goes from around 88mm to 108mm, they do not just dremel out a few small things. Jlt is 110mm if I remember correctly. Not saying one is better then the other at all, just clarifying.

I actually literally just finished installing my jlt + Lund.
