Hello guys,

I really had enough with my car and got rid of it :( (2019 GT pp1 manual) It was a painful decision but really I felt like I paid 40K for having a car that did not inspire me confidence when it comes to reliability and durability. I had all of the following which finally made me doubt my purchase:

1- engine BBQ tick
2- 2k RPM rattle
3- paint chipping super easily
4- second and third gear lockout (shitty transmission)
5- suspension noises.
6- chirping noise from timing chain tensioner TSB

I said enough. I willl probably be getting sn95 mustang. By the way I have had 9 different mustangs so far.

What is your experience with the car and how do you feel about all these issues?

Have a good day all!!

I totally get it, but at the same time, I love driving this car. I have a 2016 GT/PP, and within two years, had driveshaft clunks (replaced driveshaft), issues with the headliner not fitting properly, failing navigation, HVAC blend door replacement, HVAC blower controller and motor replacement, HVAC compressor and evaporator replacement, plus the car was delivered with small dents in the roof and driver's door. My car was a special order, and while the dealer worked with me on some things, I had to fight with them to get a rental for many of the warranty repairs. It's been a total pain, but other than the above, has been very reliable. My driver's side halfshaft is failing, so I need to replace those (have GT350 halfshafts ready to go in), and it looks like I have a leaking valve cover gasket.

Again, though, I love this car, and every car has its issues. My wife's 2017 Mercedes has had a bunch of issues, so it's not like defecting to another brand or country is going to fix anyone's problems.

Sorry to hear. Only had the evaporator core replaced last year under warranty. Other than that the car is solid, no issues and purrs like a kitten. About to hit 30K miles.
Crazy thing is it was a prior Avis rental car. lol....

What other symptoms did you have from the driveshaft? I also have a 2016 GT manual and I just had the oil gasket replaced under warranty since it was leaking. I’m thinking my driveshaft is next since I get the clunking noises and a crazy vibration on the highway at high speeds

I have 1,4,6 on your list. Had tranny replaced at 19k, new clutch, tob, pilot bearing, new crank shaft seal, timing chain tensioners replaced ( still chirps) and the water pump replaced all under 30k miles. By far the most work needed on any car I have owned in my 43 years. The car was paid off two months ago so now I just beat the living shit out of it and hope its powertrain related. Three days ago the driver side tail light faulted. I am past time on my warranty not mileage unfortunately. Dealership wants $800 to replace. Nope. It's a basket of shit for sure but I am forcing myself to keep it. I never keep anything.

No, not at all. All of these symptoms were there prior to the accident. The car had a minor accident fender bender on driver rear and the wheel bearing was replaced it came out as smooth as before the accident.

I understand you man, I am 30 years old and I have had 24 different cars, 9 different Mustangs among these. By far worst quality of manufacturing has been with my then 2018 and later 2019 Mustang GT.

All the little problems bothered me less when I took it to the strip and beat the heck out of it lol. Have fun with the car and ignore the little things. Get rid of it before the warranty is up and trade up for a new one if you are worried. That's my plan.

It was the "famous" Performance Pack driveline clunk, when you put it into gear, you get the thud. Plus, when I'm downshifting, I get the "clack-clack" from some part of the drivetrain. The dealer wanted to pull the transmission and examine the internals, but Ford wouldn't let them, saying that the noises were 'normal'. I'm at 40k miles now, and I need to replace the halfshafts, but other than that, no other issues.

So why are you here again? Enjoy that famed GM build quality. 5 days sounds about right.
