I went to the track this past Tuesday to run my car for the first time and was not happy with the results at all. I have the 2019 A10 base model On an e85R tune with a cj, headers, 69mm tb and pmas Cai. Full weight and stock everything else. Car ran a 12.05 at 117mph. Any thoughts on why it was so slow? Thanks

Your not that slow, here's a time slip from a run earlier this season. I'm in the left line with my Ecoboost and in the right line is a Coyote with similar mods.

Something is up for sure. That combo should be trapping at least 10mph more than what it is. Have you data logged the car to see where it is shifting? With the CJ, I would think that you'll want to increase the shift points to around 7600-7800rpms to get the most from it. Even still, at the factory shift points, it should be running quicker. What tires are you running? Not knowing the 60ft kind of makes it hard to tell as well. If you had a ton of wheel spin and had a 2.5 60ft, could bring down the times that much as well.

They are the p285/40ZR18 Eagle F1 Goodyear tires. I didn’t feel any spin when I launched. I had the car dyno tuned. I’m taking it back out tonight so I will know the 60ft time and I will let you know. The car is shifting high up close to 8000

Silly question. Did you have traction control AND advanced trac completely off? The fact that those tires are not breaking loose on an e tune is suspect, as they typically don't hook power well. With those nannies on it will neuter power which is why I'm asking.

Yes advance track was completely off. I ran this past Friday and ran an 11.7 at 117 mph and spun pretty bad still. I am right lane

Have you datalogged your runs? Is the car pulling timing because of knock, real or false?

Ok that's looking more like it. You get that 60 down and reduce spin / hop and you're looking at decent time. Still a tad lower mph than I would have thought but definitely trending in the right direction with that run

I'm curious, what did the car put down on the Dyno? Your 60' isn't awful considering your tires but if you are spinning beyond that mark, then it could explain some of this. Given your power mods, you are asking a lot of those street tires, stock suspension, and banking on perfect track prep.

Given the power mods, I would still expect a higher MPH. I would be curious to see a data log showing degrees timing advance, knock, and torque source during the run. Also, was your run after a long cool down and did you keep the car shut off in the lanes except for when creeping up in the line? If the car was hot or idled with hood down all the way through the line, that could explain some of this too.

For reference, here are my slips from same track but different days. First when car was showroom stock, half tank of 93, hot off the highway, no cool down in lanes, and IAT at time of run of ~140*. Second is better weather, proper cool down, did not idle through line, 1/4 tank of 93, and drag radials in the back and skinnies in front - all else stock. Right lane both times.
