I recently picked up a spare intake manifold to get ported that was supposedly a take off of a 2021 gt. When i opened the box and looked at it I noticed the runner flaps on the right side are sticking up a bit. The other side is completely flush with the bottom of the runner. (See attached pics)

I have to push the flaps down on the right side to get them to sit flush like the other side. It doesnt appear to be a fault of the actuator, I can see where the lever of the flaps isnt allowed to go any further down because of, what I'll call the "stopper" that is a cast part of the intake manifold. It's almost like the stopper part needs to be shaved down a 1/8" or so.

Is this normal on 2018-2021 intake manifolds? It doesnt seem it to me, but it's the only one I've seen off the car.

Thank you

A quick question to you or anyone else out there: Wouldnt it make sense to then shave down the stopper so then they would sit flush when open?

That's what I did. But be careful, cause the top of the door will start to open, so theres a happy medium. When you find it, stop.
