I have an X4 with the Bama preloaded tune. My car is stock, auto with 3.15 gear. Is it worth the investment to buy the Lund custom tune? Will I get that much more difference in power for the $200? Or, is it not worth the investment since I am all stock and the Bama does about the same as Lund on a stock car?

Not sure it is. I have switched from Bama to Lund FF and so far I like the Bama tunes I had better. I have not datalogged my Lund tune yet so it may need to be dialed in more. The new Bama tunes for the 2015 are good, don't believe everything you hear. I doubt it is worth the extra $200 on a stock car from someone who has tried both.

I dont have a Lund tune, I have a custom local tune, he is well known in the area. I had a Bama tune, it was garbage and yes, you can belive the hype. The before and after was night and day. Not my first modded car or tune.

Is it worth the money to get a custom tune? Or just stick with the canned tune that it came with?

The Bama tunes aren't garbage. There's a lot of misinformation on this forum. I'm sure there may be better tunes out there but Bama has it pretty dialed on the 2015s.

I paid another $350 on a Lund flex tune, which would make me biased to my pocket book, and I'm still telling you I like the Bama tune. Whatever.

Calling out OKC #1 spot after axle back install.
Bama tunes are far from bad, your gains will be small if any.
If you are happy with drivability stick with it.

Bama for me has not been too bad. Alot of revisions too dial in my car, but the staff is friendly. I've gotten a few things early from them such as there flex fuel tune, and there most recent vct tuning adjustments that they just were ironing out on there in house car they sent me a copy. I have to say any place you go too will have issues of one sort or another but Bama has treated me pretty good and never lost there cool or been unprofessional in any way with me. I don't think i would gain much of anything from a Lund tune over my current Bama FF tune.

Okay. I will stick with Bama. Now, Is it worth the money to get a custom tune? Or just stick with the canned tune that it came with?

Dyno tune is for sure the best way too get the most out of your car. Also depends a lot on tuner eexperience and shop experience with the model car you have, look for a good reputable shop.
