It’s really about a self-inflated ego and the need to prove one’s opinions and experiences are more relevant and deserve much more attention than anyone else’s.
Personally, I probably stopped writing with colors in about 1969, when I was six.
Silliness. When you have a two page long list of questions from a customer, it is 100% acceptable to reply in red to each point. It is the most efficient way to address the questions without reiterating each one separately. Pretty sure this is just your own personal pet peeve, and has little to do with egos.

NOW REPLYING IN BOLD WITH CAPS LOCK IS ANOTHER STORY ENTIRELY.

I completely disagree with your post.

I think the red works well in the replies written by jake_zx2 and I've seen no evidence of ego issues from him.

Must have been pissed-off, easily irritated or generally cranky about something.
Not my usual MO.
Sorry to waste members time over a generally perceived non-issue.
Apologies to all.

So let’s get back to talking about Ford performance!

If they did it in green you would have been happy, maybe it's like when school teachers weren't allowed to use red for marking up papers because it conveyed anger or some other bullshit they came up with...

For you performance pros here, do you think they'll do anything to make dramatic leaps on the new design (S650 or whatever it might end up being)? I don't know if Ford can see it as being worth it to push what is supposed to be the every mans coupe so far.

Jim Hackett really worries me. Especially if the Camaro were to get discontinued again (one reason I always root for Chevy to come up with something good), it wouldn’t present Ford an opportunity to progress the mustang as there would be no real business case for the money to be spend. Here’s to hoping Ford gets Hackett out of there soon!

Don't get me started on the Mach1 name for a battery electric SUV. The Mustang sells 85-130K units per year. Ford sold about 20-30K plug in electrics and very few all electric Focus vehicles last year. Customers at our dealership are not interested.

Strongly agree.
Hackett totally buys into Ford’s current desire and future goal to transform itself into a “mobility company”.
Obviously, he takes his orders from directly Bill Ford and the Ford BOD.
Assuming that Hackett can makes this new corporate vision happen, he will become Ford’s new Golden Boy...and won’t be going anywhere.

Agreed...the Camaro needs to keep receiving updates to stay relevant in the market as a true competitor for the Mustang.

I cannot imagine that Ford would allow the Mustang to evolve into nothing more than sleek aluminum body panels on a derivative modular “mobility platform”.

Let all hope that the industry-wide, multi-billion dollar gamble on a hybrid//electric/autonomous future doesn’t take all the fun out of driving the Mustang of the future.

Last thing i would like to add to this debate/ complaint is the Recaro seats, the ZL1 has alcantara/leather recaros that have heat and cooling as well as power adjustability. You opt for the leather in the mustang and you lose that function, along with power seats

IMO, leather Recaros are a joke. If you only care about performance, you won't be opting for leather.

Agreed. Even the Recaros in my wife's Focus ST are power adjustable.

I loved my leather Redline Recaros, but agree 100% they need to do something different for the Mustang or at least provide heated/cooling.
