That is probably the best way to do it... then you have separation of the PPF and can replace the stripes as needed....Ya all the stripes have Xpel Stealth and the car is full Xpel PPF. They basically run the regular PPF up until the end of the red pinstripes, then the matte stripes are covered with stealth. It's a tedious process but again the stripes can get damaged so personally for me it makes sense to protect them as well.
I personally decided to do a ceramic coating with no ppf. I did the front clip on my GT and then immediately had a rock chip on the hood just above the windshield. I guess something is better than nothing, but unless you wrap the whole car you will be dealing with chips and paint touch up at some point...
