Ya all the stripes have Xpel Stealth and the car is full Xpel PPF. They basically run the regular PPF up until the end of the red pinstripes, then the matte stripes are covered with stealth. It's a tedious process but again the stripes can get damaged so personally for me it makes sense to protect them as well.
That is probably the best way to do it... then you have separation of the PPF and can replace the stripes as needed....
I personally decided to do a ceramic coating with no ppf. I did the front clip on my GT and then immediately had a rock chip on the hood just above the windshield. I guess something is better than nothing, but unless you wrap the whole car you will be dealing with chips and paint touch up at some point...

I'm out of town for work but my family picked up my GT from getting PPF and ceramic done today. $4000 for detail/paint correction ($550), Xpel ceramic coating infused PPF on entirety of the hood, bumper, fenders, mirrors ($1900), rocker panels and leading/trailing edges of quarters ($400), and spoiler($150). With ceramic on the rest of the body ($800) and on the PP1 wheels($200) to help keep them clean and safe. Have only seen the pictures but it looks fantastic. My dad knew there was supposed to be film on the hood and couldn't tell, he actually called the guy out on it saying it was missing, but it wasn't it was just that good.

Jeez I wish I could find those prices around me. One guy quoted me $9800 to PPF the whole car with Spek. The local Xpel shop isn’t far behind...and none of these prices include paint correction or ceramic.

That's crazy. If you dont mind traveling a little, try calling some other shops. The place I had it done on LI did full xpel and their 4yr ceramic for $4900

Did they tuck the seems and wrap the corners? I really don’t want to end up with visible seems if possible.

I only have seems in places where its not possible to roll the edges without removing the panel. Really the only place near the top that happened is the roof. Things like the doors, trunk, hood, fenders all are rolled. When there is an edge, like the roof, they placed it on a body line; you wouldn't even notice it unless you were looking for it. The place is Tintmax Automotive if you want to look up their work and compare the price.

Find another installer. A good quality PPF shop should have no problems doing individual strips over the matte stripes. Here is my car with XPEL Stealth over the stock matte stripes.

I’m gonna be the fly in the punch bowl and disagree...

...6 grand buys A LOT of waxes, polishes and rags

in the interest of full disclosure, my car has ceramic coating from the previous owner. That said, I have been to half a dozen meets and see zero difference between a car with or without it.
Obviously each to their own but I have ~13,800 miles on my 2015 GT350 and it still looks terrific.

Are there some areas that had to be touched up, absolutely but in the grand scheme of things I am more than happy to save that kind of after tax money and go with some touch up paint here and there.

Then again many in my generation obviously think differently about PPF versus a little elbow grease and some touch up paint.

Having said that I must say that I respect those that feel the need to add a PPF to their cars.

Anyone having issues keeping their edges/seams clean? The gt350 kicks up so much tire dust especially in the rear...

For me, it's all the pollen. My black car was covered and had a yellow tint, and it builds up along the seams.

I had the same issue with my GT. One of the reasons I did not PPF this time.. had some areas that just did not clean well.

front bumper fascia area, had some areas where a rock hit and it did not self heal,... yes it protected the paint, but then left these crevices were I was trying to remove dust, pollen, bugs etc... I had a good installer and used xpel, so it was not an installation issue.
