I have a 2016 manual with gt350 im & im getting p2004 & p2005 is there anyway to check if the runners are moving without removing intake? I put a borescope down the throttle body & then pulled vacuum on the actuator & i couldn't see anything moving? Is that because the rod is broke & they aren't moving or is that just because i wouldn't be able to see them moving that way? Also if the rod is broke is it even worth fixing/replacing gt350 im. Or should i just lock em out or use zip ties or whatever ive read about? & if so im assuming i would need a new tune for that? Also on my scanner i can see the imrc data & it shows them turning on & off & the voltages changing but im guessing the rod is broke so it thinks everything is still working but the flaps aren't actually moving?

If the rod(s) are broke, I’d lock them out. You won’t need a retune, you’ll just need to turn the IMRCs off in your existing tune. I had Lund to this for me and they charged $150.

Is there anyway to tell if the rod/rods are broke? Actually is there 2 rods? If so i doubt both sides broke at the same time? Or is there one part that controls both sides together because i am getting both p2004 & p2005 which is bank 1 & bank 2 stuck open. So if im understanding correctly which im probably not! If it was a broken actuator rod it would just be on one bank? Im actually just about to pull this intake off to check it out but was hoping to find some sort of test to be sure what is wrong before i pull it apart just incase i dont need to but since im not finding much info anywhere im probably just gonna pull it apart & figure it out?

It's unusual for the 350 manifold to break rods. What other mods do you have?

Well i pulled it off & everything looks good to me? I hooked my lil vacuum pump to the vacuum line off ea actuator & both sides open & close? What could cause it to throw both sides stuck open? What is common between the two? Im almost wondering if its my tune? Or tuner? I have cleared the codes probably 4 or 5 times now & it keeps comen back & i also changed my tune & it still came back. Btw thank u guys very much for your quick responses & the help i very much appreciate it! Also only other mods i have is gt350 tb, pmas, 47lb, tune.

I have the manifold off is there anything in particular i should check? I cant find anything that looks broke or isnt working? It never threw those codes with the original tune that was on the car but idk if that means that its from the new tunes or if something recently broke & is causing the codes? Idk what could cause it to throw both sides stuck open when everything looks fine to me? & when i watch the imrc data with my scanner it sure looks like everything is working properly? & i actually hooked my lil vacuum pump up the other day with my scanner hooked up & pulled vacuum on the line to the actuators & i watched the voltage or whatever it is change as the flaps opened & closed but i thought maybe the rod/rods were broke & so it was reading that everything was working correctly but with the rod broke nothing was actually turning but obviously that is not the case so it almost has to be the tune correct? The place that i got my tunes from have been awesome but they have also been having some issues getting it dialed in just right?

Have you pulled these actuators and conformed that they still retain the exact same square shape like the rods (no sign of rounding over in the corners)? They may be working now on a bench test with a vacuum pump, but perhaps pulling more vacuum with the engine running, causing the rods to slip inside of the actuator.

If your tuner is working with you and won’t charge you, I’d ask them to turn the IMRCs off in your tunes and either buy a lockout kit or use zip ties like Zander13 did.

The gt350 manifold should plug in and work on a gen 2 coyote. You have too many other mods to go back to the stock tune.

The problem with locking them out is a slight stumble off idle.

Ngot8r no i have not looked at those but thats the exact kind of info i was looking for thank u very much i will absolutely pull those off right now & check em out! Also i have been reading a bunch on the vacuum line diagrams on how this manifold is supposed to be plumbed & i think whoever installed this manifold did it wrong? Although it has been working & may not make a diff my brake booster vacuum line goes directly to the im & i keep reading that this is incorrect & that the brake booster vac line should go to the asperator so im going to switch that & check that those square ports are not rounded off. Thank u all for the help! & yes i know i cannot go back to stock & i do not want to go back to stock i just want to figure out why i keep throwing p2004 & p2005 codes when everything seems to be working correctly?

So i pulled the actuators or whatever they are off & they are still perfectly square & look great? Also i keep getting the codes for both sides at the same time? So whatever it is has to be common between the 2 banks? & besides maybe the vacuum & the tune i cannot see or think of anything else that can cause it to throw codes for both banks together? I suppose it could be from the brake booster vac line going directly to the im & not the asperator but it never threw those codes in the few weeks i drove it before i switched tunes/tuners? Also ya the ppl tuning me im sure would send me a tune with the imrc turned off or whatever but id rather get it working correctly like it used to?

The vacuum booster can be directly to the manifold or you can add it to the aspirator. The evap is obvious and so is the PCV the other line goes to the CAI or intake tube

Reason I asked about other mods is to see if you could see if the stock tune also tossed the codes.
