Maintenance on a boosted car isn't as bad as most people think, turbo cars tend to have a little bit more but supercharger setups like you said are really just about making sure the plugs are good to go and if your blower takes oil like the Prochargers do, to make sure they are changed out as well. Other than that there are no main concerns. Once you step up to a full return style fuel system, full E85 would be a great idea to help keep the engine running strong as these cars love E85.

I would say this, if you are just stepping into the world, I would pass on meth, as it can be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing in regards to running out of meth and starving the engine. Full e85 will really be all you would need as long as you choose a good efficient blower setup. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to give me a shout anytime. Lethalperformance.com
That was pretty helpful, I’ll stay away from the Meth and just focus on saving for a fuel system. Much appreciated.

I would think someone that worked at lethal would know more about Meth kits. Any quality meth kit Will have safety’s in case something goes wrong it will shut down the meth and pull timing. Water/meth can be as safe as running E85

I understand Meth kits just fine, I have also seen these kits with fail safes not work instantaneously and cause catastrophic issues. I never said meth wasn't a great tool, I simply said for someone just getting into it, to maybe not rush into meth right away.

After having multiple boosted coyotes, I typically run through a scenario with people when they're looking for boost.

1) Is this car one you depend on? (you answered this - no)
2) Do you have a backup plan if something fails?
3) How much power are you looking to make?

I really aim to only do one or two MAJOR modifications at a time as it can become a real PITA to locate/diagnose issues with the car. This is often why I try to have most people run 91/93 octane prior to going E85 (and thus, a full return style fuel system).
It is also beneficial for the customer to get acclimated to the power a system on 91/93 can put down before stepping into even more power.

With all this being said, I would advise against methanol in this case. I am a huge proponent in methanol use for certain situations. Most of these situations would not be as applicable to the average coyote owner... unless you are octane restricted which DOES happen.

Anywho, I think you're on the right track for boost, but I'd run some injectors (feel free to go with E85 capable injectors as you mentioned) and run a BAP for now (easy install/easy removal). Prepare the car (and yourself) for even more power when you're ready for E85 and go from there.

I use meth for additional cooling in the hotter months, on E85. If it fails IATs get a little hotter, car pulls timing. I also won't jump right back into a run if I just ran with high IATs due to meth failing.

Leave the Meth to the GM guys... no need for it on the Ford platform. the 18+ cars are dual fuel and the 11-17 are port injection so we have plenty of cost effective options to increase fuel.

e85 and done.
