Hi, this is a little strange, but my 2016 gt350r sometimes won’t rev when I’m trying to blip for downshifting.
I’m pushing in the clutch but it’s not revving, even though I’m blipping the throttle.
Is there a clutch safety switch that isn’t allowing the blip because I’m partially engaged or something? I don’t think I am, but something, likely electronic is preventing my throttle blip.

Would love to see what people have to say about this… I get this exact thing but only when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd. 2018 non R for me.

Dead stock? no auto blip module or anything?

I never experienced that...dont recall hearing about it either. Any other symptoms? bucking? hesitation?

When you say it doesn't blip, does that mean the engine is completely unresponsive? or is it delayed/less responsive.

the engine should blip clutch in/out. it wont care about that from what I recall.

Totally stock. No modules, tunes or anything… I’m still on the original tires!
It’s completely unresponsive, as if it’s not getting the signal…

interesting. assume it's only happening when the brake pedal is also beign applied?

only thing I can think of is the clutch switch having issues and the ECU is locking out throttle. probably a safety think when brakes are being applied

I've had that happen numerous times, and/or the active exhaust valves close momentarily, too. Only happens from 3rd to 2nd as well.

What happens if you jam on the throttle, not just blip?

I've never had that, but tbh, I never mastered heel-toe shifting either so I was probably doing something wrong.

Kinda funny but sometimes at full throttle I have the opposite problem. I push in the clutch and remove my foot from the throttle and the revs shoot up. Also completely stock car.

Mine does this sometimes as well when I am trying to heel toe! I've always wondered why. Intermittent and usually doesn't...I find it does it if I don't give enough throttle input it will act like I gave none at all. It's curious for sure.

Are you typically in normal or sport mode? I find I have to get really deep into the throttle/pedal if not in sport.

No to the brake pedal... I can't heel toe effectively in my car... So no, this is only happending to me when blip downshifting, no brake.

Hmmmm. I wonder if there's some safety switch on the clutch?

I think if I were to jam the throttle, I believe it would simply delay, then rev.

Ahhh, okay. Mine actually did do that. I went to a blip module because of my terrible heel toe, and that fixed it. But yes, I do know what you're talking about. It takes a lot of throttle to engage the engine.

Same for my 2020
Sometimes it works just fine but others it might "blip" a couple hundred RPM with the valves closed even in sport mode. It seems to only happen when you're not driving aggressively and randomly

Hmmmm. My strong feeling is to leave this car completely stock... But the two mods I have been considering are blip module and a shifter from MGW. I do like the stock shifter, but I've noticed it loosening up from when I got it with 2,803 miles (in January) to today (I just crossed 6,000 miles with it yesterday).

MGW takes an already great shifter and it turns it into perfection. Just make sure you get the adapter and maintain stock height or else its short.
