Love the shifter, seats look to be extremely supportive and have a very attractive shape. Don't like the mismatch in colour between the seats and the dash/console plastic, or the Alcantara on the wheel (which will get grubby really quickly).

I presume MFT is packaged with navigation in the tech package.

I'd wear driving gloves to protect the Alcantara steering wheel. Plus, I'm sure, some company will rewrap the steering wheel for under $500. People spending $750 on brake pads & $2k on rotors, won't think twice about spending $500 for rewapped steering wheel every 10-20k miles.

I want my turned dash and toggle switches. But, the 8200 rpm redline should more than make up for the sacrafice.

That center console looks exactly like the one in my '15 V6 rental I drove 2 weeks ago. Atrocious - does not belong in a car like this. There shouldn't be a non-Technology GT350, the weight difference is negligible and this really isn't a track weapon car at this kind of weight anyway. They should target the M3 and not the Z/28, a much more lucrative market.

I'm probably in the minority here, but it would be cool if Ford would offer a alcantara pillar/headliner option.

Might be cool, I don't know if enough people would order it to make it a valid business case. I know that I wouldn't. I like creature comforts with my performance, but I seldom notice my headliner.

would love to see pics of the tech package interior and kudos to ford for expanding the appeal with that package.

I can see not offering heated seats odds of this car being out in weather that cold are low, not saying its not gonna happen but playing the % it makes sense but nav, leather, shaker all make the car for those of us who want one to be posers 95% of the time (myself included) and rarely if ever take it beyond our favorite backroads to the track.

I'd agree. I am torn on the tech package though...honestly I use my phone instead of my in car Nav now, but I don't like the look of the base setup. The shaker sound would be nice too. Will all come down to price for me.

First of all, how do you know the interior materials are the same? Yes, it's a base console, but my guess is even the base GT350 will be better overall than a base V6 in interior quality. I hated the base radio at first, but after seeing it awhile, I could probably live with it just fine.

Second, it's pretty early to say this isn't a good track car when we don't have a) final specs, b) track times, or c) actual weight figures

Finally, this car will compete with both of the cars you mentioned if it's priced right. Why go after one market when you can go after both?

You have a stripped down base model for track guys and an available luxury interior for guys who want a comfortable street car. Don't understand why you would be upset that they are actually giving people a choice. Isn't having a choice a good thing?
