That GT has the adaptive exhaust, it's the car he used in his review - and based on how it sounded in its different modes in that video, it's clearly on its loudest setting here.
That V8 would sound absolutely epic in my underground garage - but it may just give some poor senior hobbling over...
Anything that helps with near-distance visibility/sensing helps. It's impossible to see much of the periphery of the car from the driver's seat. And while the Mustang may in some sense be considered a sports car, people forget how long it is - at 188" in length it's over a foot longer than an...
Swing and a miss not linking the nav into that 12" display though, it's a no-brainer. And if they want to stay feature competitive with Chevy, Ford needs to add a HUD, and rev-matching to the MT GT.
Mustang market penetration must be far, far higher in Dallas than Toronto - any Mustang is a rare sight here, I see way more Audis and BMWs - Mustangs (and Camaros) are nearly as rare as Porsches. No chance of the rims getting stale here.
Blacked out door handles would also be a nice custom touch.
Not too sure about the hood vents, though - if I could see them as black blobs on the hood from the driver's seat I don't think I'd want the visual distraction.
Ironic that Ford would go to the trouble of putting a blackout package on their show car and then spoil the look by sticking that silver license plate blank on the car - WTH?
Other than that, looks good except for those cheesy vents on the hood. Looking forward to seeing it at the Toronto show...
Personally I'm willing to sacrifice a little of the front end aggressiveness if the tradeoff is better forward sightlines, so that the first piece of pavement seen in front of the car is not a half mile down the road.
No improvement made to the rear visibility it seems - too bad. Could not...
Liking a lot of this, but the refresh is missing a couple of things that competitors have already introduced:
- auto-blipping for the MT
- ability to bring the nav screen into the 12 inch display (never mentioned or shown so far, so very unlikely)
- HUD
Not happy with Ford giving up...
