After modding many cars over the years, now all I'd do are bolt ons. Yes, heads and cam with long tubes and tune mean significantly more power, but along with that come other issues. Warranty is king now to me.
While you are correct on the surface, it's all about maintaining factory warranty. I love my Z/28, but it definitely is not the daily driver the ZL1 is. Since my track time is limited, it may be a better choice in the long run for me.
Rather than focusing on a GT350R as a garage-mate for my Z/28, I may have to replace the Z if this one tests out as well as it seems it will. And no fu*king ADM.
I've never run at Sebring where they let you onto the track in Turn 17. Was pit lane closed for some reason? Just curious, what kind of times did the GT350 run vs your Z06?
I live 10 minutes from PBIR and I cannot stand that track. What club are you running with for these events?
Car is listed as a "test vehicle" and has 8243 miles. Manheim inspected it and rated its condition as 4.9/5. It's part of a Ford factory Sale which I believe if for Ford dealers only.
This has happened to me before. I received the plates a few days after getting the second 30 day temp tag. I wouldn't be concerned as long as what you are using isn't expired.
Considering the Z/28 comes with 19x11/19x11.5 wheels and 305/30-19 tires, I was faced with the same issue as the Trofeos are $500 each and last 5000 miles with daily street use.
I went with a square 20" x 10.5" setup using 285/35/20 MPSS tires which are 2" larger diameter than stock. The...
This is pure nonsense. A car doesn't lose 70% of its value in 4 years unless you put 125k miles on it or it is damaged significantly. Owning gives you far more flexibility because you get rid of the car whenever you want to, be that 1 year or however long you want to keep it. It's all about...
Penfed every month or 2 does a 48 month 0.99% finance promotion on 2014 and newer cars that is the best you can get and in my mind superior to having cash tied up in a car. That offer is good on cars you already own outright, or have financed at higher rates elsewhere, or are about to purchase...
It's not about one's income, it's the principle of paying more than what the manufacturer says it is worth. I work very hard for the money, and while I can easily afford to pay it, I don't think I want to. That 10g will be more valuable to me invested so it can pay for an entire car 15-20 years...
Got a call from a dealer I approached very early on in the development stages of the GT350, saying I'm number one on their list and have first shot. Their 2016 allocation is 2 GT350's and 1 GT350R and they want a $10000 ADM on each. Only interested in an R. I'm not sure I am OK with paying over...
After my last 2 Porsches with iron/steel rotors and 6 piston Brembos up front, I can truly say the CC brakes on my Z/28 are definitely better and allow braking much deeper into corners.
Only issue with them is replacement cost and the fact that they do need more time to warm up to reach max...
