I am in MI, a no fault state with super high insurance rates. 33 year old married male. Standalone quote, full coverage was about $1900 a year. Combining it on my existing policy with 2 other vehicles brought it down to about $1600 a year. It was cheaper than I expected. Thats for a 2016 base GT.

Jesus Christ!!! I am married and over 40 years old, NO lapse in coverage, no tickets or accidents for over 8 years and so on. Just got a quote for over $6500 a year with 300/100/300 and uninsured driver also. With a Corvette and Nissan truck I was paying $2200 a year. They told me that the Mustang GT is the reason it is so high!! :frusty:

You ought to shop this around.

I like to know my insurance costs BEFORE I buy a particular model car. I called my Allstate agent yesterday and gave them a VIN for a '16 Ecoboost Premium and then one for a '16 GT Premium since I'm considering both. I have a clean driving record like you. We also get some multi-policy discounts since our house, two other vehicles and both of my motorcycles are insured through Allstate as well.

6 month premium quotes (100/300/100, UM/UIM, $500 ded on comp and collision, no PIP or towing) were-

GT - $417.52
EB - $389,45

My current '13 Altima 3.5L is $319.85 for 6 months.

FYI- what county you live in can make a significant difference. Those with high accident rates (especially involving uninsured drivers), theft, etc. means you'll pay more.

Mid-30's and married in NC. Been with GEICO for a decade now. No accidents, tickets, etc. since 2003. Paying ~$950 total every six months for $300k injury and $50k property on my 2015 GT and my wife's 2014 Jeep Cherokee with $500 deductible. Also have coverage for mechanical breakdown, towing, rental car and uninsured/under-insured motorists injury and property damage. Comparing car-to-car, my Mustang costs only $77 more each 6-months than her Cherokee does. FWIW, I have a V8 and she has a V6.

As others have mentioned, where you live makes ALL the difference.

I am paying $670 per year with Safeco, with the same coverage. An Ecoboost was only $20 less for us... The only thing that agent is missing is the gun or knife, you are getting robbed!

Wow I fell lucky - 52 and I pay $650 @yr with a $1,000 deductible. State Farm here for 20+ years. My change going from a '12 Taurus SHO to the '16 GT was less than $9 @ month.

I have super high coverage including loan payoff and $500 deductibles, hence my cost noted above. This is what I'm comfortable with in an area with so many uninsured, fake license-plate, obliviously driven, poorly maintained vehicles.

I pay $322/6-mo with 100/300/100 $500 deductible. Includes loan payoff, and first year new car replacement, plus rental car, towing, etc.

I win! :D

My 2013 SHO was actually $7 a month more expensive then my 2015 GT.
