Well, long story short I just finished my Whipple install tonight. Finally got the flash tool corrected and the calibration sent over. I flashed everything over, had a solid voltage the entire time, completed, and turned off the key for 5 seconds. Pushed the clutch, hit the start button (preparing for the awesome), and NOTHING.

All it does is sit there and crank over and over and over. The car won't fire at all.

I checked the fuses, checked for fuel, etc. It has plenty of juice...pulled a plug and the cylinders aren't flooded. Pull the supply line and pressure is there. TB opens and closes with the throttle. Not sure what else it could be?

Even tried pulling the MAF and seeing if it would fire...nothing.

Of course, Whipple is now closed for the weekend and I really need the car. FML.

Any insight or help would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure if its something within the whipple calibration or what. I thought about returning it to stock and trying to start it on the stock or lund tune from beforehand when it ran perfectly fine with LTs, Intake, Etc.

Thanks ahead :frusty::frusty::frusty:

Checklist

Did you replug the fuel pump in inder rear seat?
Make sure harness, connector and wires all look good.

All fuel injectors plugged in?

Spark plugs n coil packs?

Relax n drink a beer. Gonna be no big deal in the end so dont go crazy.

Try reflash again. Make sure console powered up first and wait at least a minute.
( foot OFF brake and hit start button)

Any codes?

Pictures of both banks so we can see fuel lines n coil wires n stuff?

Excellent suggestions posted, Please check for any codes with the Flare program or SCT programmer. This will give us a place to start. If no codes in memory flash it back to stock and see if it starts then. Let us know and we can get this figured out for you.

Thanks!

Did you plug in the fuse where you add the fans to the fuse box? As a test unplug the fans and add the fuse back in the stock location. Ask me how I know this!

Got it fellas!! Just got back from a quick test drive...

Thanks for all the help and ideas...this forum rocks!

Ended up being Fuse #44 still being unplugged. Originally I had a set instructions with an older style harness where Whipple called for the Fuse #44 needed to pulled in order to add an add-a-circuit into the fuse box to incorporate the IC pump harness. Well I called up Whipple and got the newer style IC harness that ties into the rear two way connector from the OEM intake manifold and allows the ECM to completely control when the IC pump kicks on. The dual fans are then tied into the IC pump harness.

Well when I was installing the older style harness I had that fuse pulled. Never reinstalled from when Whipple next day aired me the new harness and I wired everything up. I rechecked all the fuses looking for a popped one and realized something looked out of place. Then it donned on me the #44 was still out. Installed it and she fired right up. Test drove and checked for fluids for 30 mins or so and give it a quick WOT blip before coming back home. Needless to say...the stock Pirellis busted loose!

Will recheck everything it the morning once she's cooled off but other than that...another happy Whipple customer! So glad I decided to install and the hard work has paid off. Time to enjoy it...

Thanks again for the help and hopefully this might help someone in the future.

Dont forget the crank relearn in all the excitement.
Congrats!
Got that on the list for today as well! Was having some issues with it last night saying the MIL needed to be on but hopefully that was with the fuse issue and not be at operating temp. Should be good though!

Whipple's Support Rocks!!!
That's for sure!

On a side note, how has everyone else been using the flight control? Do you use it at all? Adaptive learning? Octane adjustment? Boost by gear? 1st gear pulls out hard!

Also, whose running Catted and Catless setups? Right now I'm running Catless which should run fine as per Whipple and make a touch more power. The CEL being on due to this may drive me crazy though and I may vouch to spend the $400 on the Catted SW lead pipes. This was my biggest, and still is, decision between running the Whipple Cal versus a custom updated Lund tune...

Whipple recommends all the guardian features be left on as they are set by default when you load the calibration. Octane adjust is up to you, but I was told by KB tech that even though it reduces timing by as much as 6 it's not a bad idea if using 91. He explained that was octane adjust off if it starts sensing a lot of knocking becuase of bad gas it can really dial it back and power can suffer more than if you have it off and timing is reduced from the start. Not sure I explained that as well as he did, but there you go. If I fill up on 91 I will keep octane adjust on, but if I use 93 than I'll turn it off.

Flight controls is a subjective thing some use it to control power in first and second gear.

Edit: Whipple stated you should contact them first before turning any guardian features off.
