Installed roush heat extractors

I got these in a few days ago and finally had time to put them on.

I love the look but i hate the execution. They dont install like the stockers as they are made from more flexible plastic. They dont clip down and fit snuggly in the rear. I wound up drilling the holes to keep them firmly planted.

Just a tip. Trim off 1/8" from the provided screws or they will screw too far in and bubble the top.

i think i'm going to get the roush extractors soon myself...just debating if I want to get black stock ones or go roush.

i got satin black wheels so I'm thinking roush although I could always get them painted gloss black but then that cost even more.

I've had a wtb thread up for over a month for either roush or oem black extractors so if anyone has either out there let me know

If you are trying to match satin, keep in mind these are textured. I was very tempted to smooth and paint them before install, but they are easy enough to get off if it annoys me too much.

and end of the day nothing will match because of the shiny black ass end we all have. lol

Yes. They are textured like the lower plastic around the car and the grill.

Not to revive an old thread but I just installed mine tonight. I have a couple of problems with these extractors... 1st and foremost these damn thing won't flow any air compared to the stock ones. These have one little hole in them that is later covered up by the hood liner. 2nd problem is that the hood ligner now doesn't fit flush against the hood due to the super thick foam pieces that roush send us which causes the plastic piece that once had 3m molding tape on it to stick further our which causes my hood liner problem. And 3rd like the OP states the screws will cause them to bubble when screwed down. I didn't have to trim mine just tried it a couple different times and got it to sit flush. Does anyone else have these gripes or is it just me?

I'll try to take a pic tomorrow to show, I think I'm gonna end up cutting those foam pieces about half the thickness
