Looking for lower IAT from my steeda package, I found this;

So I gave a try.... they claim 20+ hp, with stock tune!!! yeah

so far lower IAT's. filter indicator, and if you cut the molded insert, you can tune with 106 mm ID at maf! steedas is 102... I like steedas tune but the high IAT it's a concern...our local weather is between 85F and 95f year around...

next the dyno, and then a pro tune with the insert cutted.

at least looks nice.... If someone has already tried, please share your expirience...

Nice! Enclosed box is the way to go IMO, and the removable insert is nice to have. Update with numbers when you get them:thumbsup:

Sub'd. Looks like a good set up with the enclosed box design.

It actually looks like a nice really setup, but again like all the other companies they are possibly comparing apples to oranges. If they are comparing a baseline no tune dyno to a CAI+tune dyno that is not the right way to do it. There is no proof of what gains came from the CAI. Of course sometimes Facts can get in the way of making $$$ which is why I'm assuming most of the companies do not do it that way.

I like this intake a lot. I'm a fan of the closed box design! It's between this and the Airaid for me. Not a fan of the Airaid's looks, though. Though I do appreciate the ability to keep the sound tube. Not that I'm necessarily a huge fan, but I would like the option. Do you know if the Injen allows for retention of the sound tube?

Yes, you can still use the sound tube with this intake.

The power numbers that we claim are from dyno testing performed in-house. We tested a vehicle bone stock and then tested the same vehicle on the same day with our intake system installed. We have dyno charts from that testing as well and I'll post them below. :thumbsup:

This is with our molded-in insert still attached and a stock tune. If you decide to run an aftermarket tune and other power mods, you can cut our insert out and benefit from the 106mm inlet.

I don't want to get into much more, as we're not a site sponsor yet, but this is a well engineered and thought out cold air intake for the Mustang. The price point is hard to beat too!

Stay Tuned!

I purchased this intake from American Muscle today. I currently run the Roush intake and will do some comparison runs at the track with this new setup. :thumbsup:

As a fellow (non-automotive) design engineer, I must say that I was impressed by the Injen CAI design more than any other. I think the word of mouth effect will gradually improve for your product.

Question: Is the size/shape at the end of the snorkel the same as OEM? I would want to install Velossatech's flange to it.

Another non-automotive design engineer here, also impressed with the design! And I too would want to install Velossatech's big mouth ram air, so I am curious as to if this is possible as well.
