I just have to bitch for a moment. Why in the hell is everything for these cars so damn expensive? And I know there are worse cars for expense than a Mustang, but damn. Ok. Rant over

I think the same thing all of the time, even though I still pay the ridiculously high prices for the parts that I want to modify my car. What it really is though, is American Greed!

I happen to think the parts are pretty cheap actually. Way cheaper than vintage Mustang parts. Inflation has hit those hard. I layed out almost $2k for an original manual center console for my 68 last year.

any particular part you think is a rip off? Headers are a little pricey I guess

The Mustang has a huge aftermarket. I think the stock parts are cheap and the aftermarket are not necessarily expensive. If you want a quality part expect to pay up.

If you try to fix up a German car then I want to see how you feel

Having owned an AMG I can tell you here it's $550 from the Stealership for someone to go "Yep, fluids look good. Let's change the oil". Count your blessings Fords are a bit easier to maintain :)

It’s crazy. For sure. I see you’re in Philly. You might have some more important issues going on there though.

I remember my brothers 2018 BMW under lease broke down due to a failed fuel pump. The dealer was trying to blame it on him to pay up 5K which of course he refused. Long story short the reason for it being so expensive was because the Fuel Pump and tank had to be both replaced! LOL I actually just looked and its 4K for the fuel tank! Geez

Did you not learn from Cheaper by the Dozen? The trick is to have at least 2 if not 3 Mustangs and that way you buy stuff in bulk from your local CJPony. It's like Costco, you spend $400 with one shopping cart but you only need to go once a month so on a weekly basis it's "cheaper".

And yeah, move to Allentown or something. :)
When my brother moans about Philly, I just remind him he CHOSE to live on Gladwynn/Villanova and it's his own damn fault.

Beautiful city with a wonderful history and great food. What a shame.
