I got snail mail brochures a while back and one had a coupon but it expired. I've ordered more. I signed up online (twice) like SC Ruby but no luck...
The Private Cash offer that comes on the brochures can still be used/protected even after expiration date. Your dealer needs to call the protection HQ the day you pick up your car and they will protect the difference of your coupon offer minus what ever current rebates are being offered. Just need to make sure if your picking your car up on a weekend that your dealer calls during the week to protect as they are not in on the weekends.

I downloaded the 2015 Mustang brochure (only one avail at this time). Where would the rebate be located in the .pdf? I also asked for mail version of the 2016 brochure.
I've also downloaded the online brochures but I've only received one by mail once.

I even called a few weeks before the labor day sale to have one to replace my expired coupon that was only good for two weeks. They said they would send it right out after and I never received it.

Good luck; it sound like it's just a roll of the dice if you get one or not; which seems like a load of BS. Either give it to everyone or no one.

Why worry about having the Private Cash (protected) over the Weekend? Simply have the Purchase & Sale Agreement dated on or (before) the expiration date of the Private Cash Back Offer and your in! So what if you loose a few days or a week of your 36 month warrantee? Simple!

My dealer is telling me it can only be used for dealer stock for the EAA $750 cash. I guess I will email orderprotectionhq again and see what they say.

Your dealer is just being difficult. I used X plan and the EAA $750 on my Special Order and had the $750 protected because it expired before I took delivery.

Did your dealer say the same about using X plan?

Because if the car arrives with QC issues or doesn't arrive on time you're screwed. Why buy it before it arrives? Having the incentive protected is actually easier and less risk.

So even if it expires you can protect it after? No need to call before hand?

Make sure you have the Program number on the incentive and ask your dealer to have it protected. You don't have to do it ahead of time if you have the program number. Just be sure to bring the phone number to Program HQ with you to the dealership in the event that the dealer doesn't want to call and have it protected then you can call the number and tell Program HQ that the dealer is refusing to help and you then pass the phone to your dealer.

Nope, the X-Plan didnt seem to cause an issue.

"Customer must take new retail delivery from US Ford or Lincoln dealer stock by 1/4/2016." This is what they are hung up on in the fine print.

When the dealer calls and talks to Ford Protection HQ they will walk him through the process. I spoke with Ford Protection HQ directly and was reassured that they will protect it even after the expiration date. What Ponygrrrl said is correct make sure you have the phone number and call them yourself then hand them the phone. Because of this forum and the knowledge that is so freely shared more often than not we as customers know more about the process and what can and cant be done then most dealers. Trust your fellow forum members

Oh I have no doubt you guys are correct, I am just trying to figure out a way to get them to OK it without being a dick and stepping on their toes. I emailed the incentive protection so hopefully I can just forward the dealer their response.

If you get a response let us know and post it haha but I completely agree. I would feel like a dick calling protection HQ after the dealer says it can't but done but whatever it's worth it:lol:

Crap, I didn't know you could "protect" it and threw it away. Maybe I'll get another one...

If you have your VIN # go to the Ford website and register as a Ford owner and you should get a welcome email. Mine had the same offer as the brochure did. Worth a try

I had read about registering and getting an offer as well. I was wondering, I assume you have to do that before you get the car (after you get it, it's paid for, so a coupon wouldn't help) But if you register the vin, get an offer, but the car comes and for some reason you're not satisfied (body panel issues, leather problems...) how does it work that you already registered as an owner? Or does that offer allow you to apply it to the payments, as long as you did Ford financing? Can someone clarify? I have a vin, but no car yet.
I did get a brochure a month or two ago, and my dealer says it's locked in whenever I get the car. But I'm curious if the welcome might be better.

The offer you get after registering is the same offer # that comes on the brochure.
