Desirable products are already being discounted at launch. There are a whole slew of people here that have already secured discounted pricing...

Desirable products are not discounted at launch, to the general public
Fixed it. :)

There won't be any rebates from the start. I'd say maybe by December or January you might see $500 factory rebate since it will be the middle of winter. Sept, Oct and November you won't see a dime off from Ford other than some weird special regional offer or $750 Ford cash. There may be a low financing rate possibly but there won't be any factory rebates for several months I am positive.

Agreed, if you're paying full MSRP for anything outside of the 50th LE, you're doing something wrong.
Too late now, I suppose; already signed the purchase order and put down my deposit. I mean, if I go in to buy a shirt from the store, or a gallon of milk, it has a price tag on it, and I either pay it or I don't buy it. I paid MSRP less $750 incentive cash on my 2011 Mustang (same dealership).

2015 GT Premium, automatic, 401A, 50th Anniversary Appearance Package, navigation...$42,305, with sales tax comes to just over $46K.

I understand you feel that you've made a commitment, but it's really not too late. The car isn't in the building stage yet. Heck, mine's doesn't even have a VIN yet. You have plenty of time and should feel no guilt (IMO) for pushing for a better deal either there or at another dealership. I'd squash this right now while you have the opportunity. Worst case scenario, you might lose your initial deposit, but *most* are doing fully refundable ones.

You could approach it with absolute truth and let them know that you're seeing people online talking about getting much better deals both with x-plan and without.

Just my $0.02.

Some rebates offered by Ford using an Xplan may not be available such as the military appreciation HOWEVER, depending on your dealership, may offer rebates or incentives including the dealerships military appreciation not tied to Ford that is...

I mean rebates. X/A/D Plan is a different story

Just talk about cancelling and they'll knock something off. 30minutes for probably $500-$1000

But yeah you can do even better w/ Xplan, probably even worth losing a deposit if they somehow screwed you with non-refundable

Gotcha. Yeah "rebates" and "discounts" really have different meanings. :)

Btw, there are some people getting discounted pricing even without X/A/D Plan (even lower than X Plan in fact)...

Where can we find out about these rebates/discounts? I secured the GT 2015 on XPlan, but of course any others discounts are welcome (at point of sale I realize). I dont expect the dealer to tell me anything....

Ex: the recent College grad discount, 500 Ford cash etc.

I'm not referring to 'official' Ford rebates or discounts. I'm simply referring to folks that have negotiated the price down below X-Plan. Dealers will deal... just have to find the right one(s). Some would rather hold out for the suckers that will overpay than to take a sure sale now. I tell them good luck, and I'll give someone else my business.

Ford incentives/financing

I'm trying to figure out my budget? Do you think Ford will do anything from the start with financing? Ie. - 0% for 5 years.

How about incentives? Not until they're closing out the 2015 model year?

Maybe. If a dealership goes onto any Mustang page (on Facebook) and sees a good amount of people are saying they don't like the look, perhaps they will fear it won't sell well.

But then again it will be a hot brand new car that will bring in a lot of new buyers so who knows.

My dealership said if we ordered and they offered a rebate in the time It takes to be delivered they would honor that price.

I guess the one I ordered at invoice isn't desirable, LOL.

Actually, the Internet Sales Director who approved my deal took a little heat from his manager for that deal. The note is on my order. It says something about "stupid!"

This was my experience. I mentioned a few times before ordering that I want to use X-plan, and they said that was fine. Then, after I was finished ordering with the sales guy I said again that I will want to use X-plan, and asked if I needed to get him a code now. He told me not to worry about it now and we will work all that out on delivery since there may be some rebates offered that can be taken off the price, so I'll either get x-plan, or enough rebates/discounts to get a satisfactory price below MSRP.

However, I'm hoping I don't have to wait till Dec 15th to take delivery, but I ordered on 7/24. Balls. Not the end of the world, but I'll be waiting like a kid on christmas eve the rest of the year.
