I'm in the market for boost on my 2015 GT PP. I have 34,000 miles and it is my daily driver. I have headers already as well as a Lund tune via NGauge. My question is what would be a good kit for me to buy and it still be good to daily? I want reliability mainly. I'd be happy to push around 650 or so to the wheels. I was mainly looking at the ProCharger kit. Does anyone have any recommendations and/or suggestions?

Thanks,

Andrew

Do a search. It’s discussed here daily. I bet there are still threads on the first page about it

Ahh. I did search but I guess I was using the wrong terms and it didn't really populate with any like results. I'll look again.

I would say procharger. You don't have to move or mod anything. The blower is mounted off engine so it stays pretty cool. My IATS now run cooler with the blower then when i just had intake. Cars drives like stock with lund tune and when you are not in boost. Boost builds nice and linear and around 4k rpm you are clear for take off.

I'm in the same boat as you. I like the look and fitment of the Procharger Stage 2 setup. The coolant reservoir is easy to access and you get a nice front mount with basically stock driveablility until you get above 3-4k rpms. The vortech/paxton kits move the coolant reservoir and it looks like its a pain to access plugs? The number of thraeds on here about opg and chain sprockets is ungodly....The main issue looks like high hp boosted applications where your spend all day above 6500rpms. The hellion kit is way too expensive and any time you have to run extra oil lines it effects reliablility. I plan on doing steeda coilovers this year with a set of lt's next spring and hopefully a centri kit that winter. Stock clutch seems to be good to around 650 before bad slippage but then you start breaking axles and such when you put better rubber on it. Don't launch it hard and you should be good since all your power is top end.....

I had a 759/625 Paxton. No you do not have the low end grunt a PD blower is going to provide. Centuri drives like stock until you put your foot down, which is exactly what I wanted. the power comes on very linear so there isnt any big surprises. that Paxton pulled hard all the way to redline. IMO the Paxton/Vortec kits are a better deal vs the procharger. Paxton has all aluminum piping etc. The beefcake stage 2 kit is a hell of a deal. The install is a little more challenging but is not difficult.

Since you already have the Lund gauge, you can save a lot of $$$.

P-1X Stage 2 Tuner kit will be the way to go for you!

Bargin of a price, with a kit that can make enough power to put you in the 8's. (but be perfect turned down to 650 rwhp like your goal)

Centrifugal superchargers such as the Procharger or Paxton, are definitely not a bad route for a daily setup, unless you have more of a preference to get most of the torque off the line. Then a PD blower like the vmp or roush might be more for you.

As others have mentioned, the centri's drive pretty much like stock, all it takes is a down shift and some throttle and it turns into another animal. The paxton/vortechs are a great deal out of the box. However, these new P1-x and D1-x are definitely worth looking into, as these new headhunits have already really shown to put out some great numbers both on the dyno and the track.

Literally any reputable kit will be reliable and fine for daily driving. You just have to research some of the differences between them. Use forums, google, youtube, etc. If you can find people in your area to give you a ride in their cars and make your own descicion.

Personally I have a wastegated Procharger P1X Stage 2 and I love it.

any decent kit will get you there, our paxton/vortech beefcake special is the best bang for the buck, but you really can't go wrong with anything, paxton, vortech, procharger, whipple, ,vmp, roush, etc..

feel free to give me a ring and we can help dial you in

How long did it take to make the wastegate work with that setup? Were there any tuning or belt slip issues? I wanted to look inot this more but the search function on this forum didn't like big words...and other posts date back to 2015. That stage 2 procharger kit is exactly what i'm looking for . How do you like the p1x?

^^^This^^^ And with the new 10 Speed Auto these Vortech/Paxtons never fall out of boost when WOT. I see you have the 2015 PP so the waste gate option you will want.
