I have performed a few spring installs, the rear is easier than the front! I loosen subframe then remove the two bolts on the side I am replacing spring to allow access to remove spring. loosely bolt that side back in then move to other side and perform same routine. car on lift/jack stands and use jack to lower and raise subframe. be mindful of brake hoses.Anyone near oakbrook area thatās done rear spring install? Iām losing patience trying to get these OE springs out.
oh no this is the your doing too much work route. I only remove front bracket and sub frame bolts, as well as top shock bolts that go into body. I believe I take off some brake hose bolts also so they stretch properly

lol, yeah that was a longer way. I can usually get the rear done at home in less than an hour. the fronts are more of a pain with the crap spring compressor I have at home. at least you got it going. I don't check this page a lot so unfortunately I didn't see your post earlier to give some pointers.
I have the mgw. those are also fun to install. tight quarters to installAll good! I still have this barton shifter to install next weekend. Thatāll be a fun one
assuming you removed the driveshaft and exhaust for that one?I have the mgw. those are also fun to install. tight quarters to install
I did not remove any of that. just squeezed myself in there. think I lowered the trans cross member is all. I usually take off as little as possible. guys at work don't like my ways.. lol. I am a Nissan technician. I installed the shifter in late 2016 or early 2017 so it has been a whileassuming you removed the driveshaft and exhaust for that one?
