It seems like right after i get gas the idle rpm will stutter a bit. It will drop to around 500rpm for a second several times over the first couple minutes after refueling. Is this normal? Would changing the plug gap to .028 from .030alleviate it?

Is your a/c on whenever it drops to 500 RPM? I have the same issue on .028 gapped plugs.

You are correct the computer will go through and attempt re-calibration at various points and filling the tank is one of them. Which is a good thing in case you put lower or higher octane fuel in it, it will adjust the tune possible saving your engine..

Typically when the car has a defrost setting the AC compressor cycles on / off. It's done to help reduce humidity inside the car.

Both my EB Mustang and EB Edge do this. I do suspect it's got something to do with recalibration after fueling up, something with the ECU trying to determine the fuel octane count. After a few minutes, it goes away until the next fill-up.

The A/C runs with the defroster on too to take the moisture out of the cabin, not saying it was the cause just a heads up.

Guys I had similar issue after refueling on my PP 2015 .. after long story I figured out that the purge valve at the intake side was leaking vacuum which made the car run rich after a fuel up until it failed to the point that the car does not start properly after a refuel

Could also be the evap system sending fuel vapor to the engine. full tank needs vapor purged, especially if you top off after the pump clicks off. (DONT)

yea, seen more than a few wrecked evap systems because of that. and modern plastic tanks swell and one day go pop.
