I’m on 93 now. It rises when I stop at idle just parked but when I drive it goes down to about 210 it was Sunny and 90 out my car was ready 93-94 degrees for the outside temperature

The Procharger stage 2 intercooler is a big one if I remember correctly. That is blocking flow to your radiator.

I have a 5" thick intercooler on my car (twins) and my CHTs will run a similar range to yours in the middle of August 100+ degree heat.

However, it has to be HOT outside for my car to run that warm.

For what it's worth, CHT is usually about 10-11 degrees HIGHER than your actual coolant temp so if youre showing 225 CHT, your coolant temp is 213-215 which is nothing to worry about.

Personally, CHT over 235-240+ would make me slow down and let the car cool off.

Maybe a touch low if that’s the level cold. Likely not enough to make difference.

That’s the level after the car was parked overnight on my driveway. Am I supposed to use the diluted coolant or the red/yellow ford concentrate?

I’d personally just throw 100% distilled water in top it off. Motorcraft coolant diluted in the same color as you’ve currently got in there will work as well. Everyone will have an opinion of mixing coolants/altering ratios but while topping off it really doesn’t matter.

did you recently come into this vehicle? You’ve got a serious machine for what I perceive to be elementary questions.

I’d definitely work to get very familiar with all fluids and their appropriate levels before you get spirited with this thing.

Nope I’m the first owner. I just like to double check by asking just to make sure so that I don’t ruin anything. I rather take the time to ask I’m always careful with everything about it lol
Thanks for your input

No problem, sweet ride.

Plain distilled or the matching color motorcraft stuff diluted will do you right for that top off.

Thanks peak global (looks yellow) is what’s in it now. I guess I’ll just add the yellow ford and mix it 50/50 with distilled water and add a little bit in there I’m pretty sure it should be at half.

If your tstat is 160 F then it's wide open at your current temperature. What's causing the higher reading is that the cooling fan isn't operating; that's controlled by the PCM. If you're just parked and idling, the temp will continue to climb until it reaches the temp that the PCM is programmed to turn the cooling fan on. What you need to do is drive the car at 60 mph cruising on a flat highway and see where the temperature lands. I'm sure it'll be below 200 degs. My car is over 200 if I'm sitting there or driving in a parking lot; on the highway it'll fluctuate between 192 and 198 degs. and I think it has a 192 F tstat like most newer cars with high-temp tstat.
