Had DWS06 on my 19 and it is a great tire.. sold that car when I got my ‘24…I wanted to put some a/s tires on it since it was January and the p-zero stink in cold weather. I purchased BF Goodrich Comp 2 a/s and thought they were very good… XL sidewall on the BF compared to the SL on the Conti. I thought the grip was just as good, some say they get noisy but I’ll be removing them as soon as I get my tire package from LMR… don’t know why they don’t get any love… for what I needed they exceeded my expectations

…and I’m the same about Michelin, to each his own I say! 😉
I like Michelin but gosh dang they wear fast compared to their Conti counterparts. My wife’s SUV came with Michelin’s from factory and they had to be replaced at less than 20k miles and they had 80k mileage warranty. Got them replaced under the mileage warranty and switched to Conti on her car. 40k miles in and still plenty of life.

Same with the PS4S, they seem to wear much faster than the Conti ECS.

It gets too cold too long here for summer only tires. I'm not a street warrior so don't need the very best but I do like on ramps and traffic circles. When I take it to a track I run Hoosiers.

My Son said to try some Vredestein Hypertrac Looking at some reviews some of the complaints are too responsive at high speeds and rough ride. Sounds like a stiff sidewall.

Do the conti's have issues with balance? Son says his only complaint is he cannot balance the set he has.

I have some of those as well. Only problem is they are directional and they seem to not grip very well in 'snot' (cold and wet) conditions under power. As fronts they seem to work very well. Dry at any temp they do very nicely too.

They do flat-spot rather badly in freezing temps if left unmoved for 2-3 days. But then I just pretend I"m Charles Leclerc locking up the inside wheels on my Ferrari in Turn 1 and yell at the radio about the questionable masculinity of the drivers around me.

not generally. He may have a bad tire. I had some GMAX on the F150 and they were so far off the tire guy said I can't legally put any more weight on the rim. Trashed the offending tire and the new one was far less troublesome.

I just installed a set of Nitto 555 G2 (also made in the USA) and so far they do a fantastic job. 2015 GT PP

Define your driving habbits and how you use your car and base your tire purchase on what you are expecting out of the car.

always loved Conti’s but currently a Goodyear fan…also made here, and the USAA discount makes them a no-brainer 😎
I have Good Year Ultra Grip Performance + UHP Winter and they're great. Drive like UHP AS. One of the last ones made in the Germany factories before they were shut down with many tenured people losing jobs because Germany turned off the unlimited cheap energy and raw materials supply chain.

I would like to try a good year UHP Summer.

My vote is for the RE980 AS+. They’ve proven to be outstanding in all weather conditions, including snow and ice, over the three years I’ve had them. I previously had Pilot Sport AS3’s and the Bridgestones will definitely make me re-think paying the “Michelin Tax” for tires ever again.

I have bought more tires than the average Joe (probably 5 times as many), and have never, ever bought a set of tires that won't balance. I almost think it's an urban legend.

I have come across more than one tire shop that can't balance a set of tires, though.

I love Michelins but my credit card does not. I have Conti ECS right now and they are just as good but a bit easier on the wallet.

If I buy them it's usually through Discount Tire warehouse or whatever it's called on eBay.
