I'm so confused at this point!!! I have the 9 speaker system.

Do I need the Audio Control LC7i?
OR
Do I need the Fosgate DSR-1?
OR Do I need both.

I am wanting to avoid splicing into the factory harness.

I am do a factory amp bypass and installing a Fosgate Punch 5CH 1000W amp.

Sub and replacing door and deck speakers with Focals.

I keep getting the run around from Crutchfield, Fosgate, local installers ect ect. Their answers are yes, no well if this or that.....blah blah blah.

The LC7i will require splicing into the factory harness. Do I want to do this?

The DSR-1 w/ FO3 harness plug right into the harness.

When did this crap get so complicated and frustrating?

TIA

The Audio Control LC7i is a LOC only. The DSR1 is that and a DSP. Depending on what your budget is, I would do the DSR1 as the DSP option will make things sound so much better.

Depending on your skills with soldering and cutting, plug and play would be a better option. Are you just replacing speakers only or adding an amp for those?

It got complicated when companies started running DATA through the amp to keep aftermarket companies from getting all the business and making it harder for us.

I can't find these Fosgate DSR-1 anywhere. If I don't install it will there be any issues?

Adding 5 channel amp for door, rear and sub.

Looks like the DSR1 is out of stock on Crutchfield, as seems most electronics at this time.

Yeah I cannot locate one anywhere.

I just don't want to screw anything up or remove any features by removing the factory amp. I've already flat lined the EQ through Forscan. That improved the sound.

I completely understand. Car Audio has changed so much from the early 90's when I got into it.

Hi Todd. Thank you for taking the time to post the links. Greatly appreciated. I've been looking at various threads here and on other sites. A lot of information to process for something normally relatively straight forward. All these extra whizbang thingamigigs. lol.

I'll update once the audio is in.
