Never post because of so much negativity on forums but I agree. I love my GT. I have had it since April and couldn’t be happier.

I love mine too! I don't DD it but I sure beat the hell out of it on the track. So that makes up for all the days I don't drive it. Engine ticks but so did my 2017 and I beat on that as well. I got 2000 miles on it so far and everyone one has been at full throttle.

Dude mine is better

2 years 15k miles. She's pretty much my DD. Very reliable. No ticks, rattles, squeaks no nothing. Leather seats still perfect. Mods are Steeda Jacking Rails, Clutch Spring, OEM Strut Tower brace, Escort Radar detector and a Blueskysea B1W Dash Cam. The car is pretty much stock :like:

Plenty fast and I've got a speeding ticket to prove it. Today I had to do a 200 mile drive on the NYS Thruway over the Tappan Zee into Westchester. I hate that ride in that traffic but this car makes it easy.

I thought the stock exhaust was fine until I video taped the car and dam I could barely hear her.
That ain't right.

So I recently purchased MBRP Street Catback exhaust for $550 and ploped that on. Only took an hour.
I like that option because there's no cutting and I can easily reverse it if I want to.
Unbelievable, the car sounds awesome and like it should. So much more fun

Best car I've ever owned and I deserve it :sunglasses:

I’ll hop into this as well. I freaking love my 17 GT PP Mustang. I have smiled every time it fires up and the smiles only get bigger as the customization continues. My only gripe was the lackluster stereo and that has been addressed. I got a supercharger for my last birthday and wow, it’s like a whole new world opened up. The only other cars I have driven that give me so much satisfaction are more than three to five times the price. Thank you Ford for making a great car. Now to drop a twin turbo coyote in my CVPI and have actually usable back seats without the worry about door dings.

With all the threads and posts about issues, filled with negativity, and hurt emotions, I just thought I'd share that at 2 years and 22K miles, I still love my beast. And I do DD it.

In comparison to my 2005 GT and 2012 GT, this car is not only faster, it's much more refined, quiet, comfortable, durable and reliable. The only issue I've had is a cracked intake manifold, and of course I've gone through some tires. But the brakes are still good, there's no rattles or squeaks that are really dreadful, and it still looks fantastic from 5 feet away (don't get too close!!).

I can't begin to explain how comfortable this car was on a 2800 mile round trip to Houston and back, it was an amazing Grand Tourer. Powerful, very planted and stable, confidence inspiring, quiet, comfortable........a few 10 hour driving days were no problem. Dat speeding ticket in Alabama tho......

Recently she's gotten a JLT HAI (hot air intake..LOOOOL!!) & tune, and 4 new Firestone Indy 500s, which are fantastic tires. They work so much better than the OEM PP1 Pirellis, especially in cold temps and rain, it's a complete joke. They actually have grip in 55 degree weather!! The extra whoooosh and power from the HAI/Tune combo, the confidence in the tires, and just the over-all driving experience is beyond fun, the car puts a smile on my face every time I drive it, and even just from looking at it. Triple Yellow is a secret sauce, the color looks good dirty, and fantastic when clean. It really hides the dirt well.

The transmission (with the BG fluid) has been fine, the car didn't even need an alignment when I put the new tires on. The cloth interior isn't wearing at all, unlike the Premium leather on my last two Mustangs. Perhaps the only let-down is the base stereo, but that's something I can fix by throwing $$ at it.

I did have some engine ticking, but it went away as the oil aged, and it's gone now. I'll probably switch to a thicker oil for the next change.

Anyways, I hope everyone else is enjoying their Mustangs too. I think this weekend I'll roll her out to Sky Line Drive and SEND IT!!

FYI; she was dirty as hell in the 1st two pictures.

I love my car as well. You're right about it being a great road trip car. I just recently drove my 18 from Houston up to Thunder Bay, Ontario and back. Super comfortable and I made it just over 4k miles and didn't even break a shift fork.

Nearly 11,000 miles on my ‘18 GT MT-82 Premium (non PP) and I’m totally digging my ride. I loved my ‘15 auto for three years but decided I wanted a stick. I loved that car too, but am so happy I made the switch. I just want to drive it all the time.

I'm really enjoying my 2017 Vert. Super Fun, fast, aggressive when I want it to be, but other times I can just cruise with it. Love the quote from the Ford Project Manager on the documentary "A Faster Horse".... The Mustang moto is "fast, fun and affordable"

I'm with you OP, I love my S550. It looks and sounds great, moves like the wind and puts a smile on my face everytime I see it.

One thing that has impressed me with it is that it's a surprisingly high quality car considering the price I bought it for. I've never had any
mechanical failures, squeaks etc. I do take pretty good care of it though, I only install high quality parts and do all the maintenance myself.

This car is too much fun...especially at the track!

Good thread. I love my car. First Mustang...it is fast, handles well, looks great, and I think the stock exhaust has a nice tone and is loud enough. I had the a/c issue, but the second fix is appears to be holding and Ford gave me an extended warranty. The only mod I have is a catch can...anyone else in this thread running near stock?
Yes, bone stock here and I have no options on my car other than the black out package and 19" wheels. I too think the car is perfect as is and love the stock sound. I have no intentions for mods, for me it has enough power for my driving style and to be able to drive defensively to get out of the way of the lead foot crazy drivers out there. I'll save the mods for my Fiesta ST- the real sleeper car!

I would agree with the stereo. What did you do to improve it. I have the shaker without the Sub in the trunk.

I really like my my car as well but I can't get over the thought that I should have bought a Premium and I should have bought a dark color like my soul. lol Competition Orange is eye catching but without the metal Flake, it just looks dull all the time.

I have no complaints about it mechanically and fully expected the lower quality plastic interiors. In the end, it's just a $20k pony car that we can do anything to. I don't think they were ever meant to be the Grand Touring cars that the GT suggests. They especially were never meant to be $80k+ GT500's but that's another tangent, lol.

I've been pretty happy with my 19 so far. It's unbelievable how much of an improvement it is over my 12 Brembo GT. only mechanical issue thus far is it is currently in the shop having the strut bearings replaced due to a clicking sound it was making in turns at parking lot speeds, the driver's door window weather seal replaced, and the rear bumper to body mounting block replaced. Geezz, you woulda thunk I could have got pass 1200 miles before my first warranty issues.
