I wouldn’t disagree with you and that part does look particularly nice but it’s also reasonably flat …

I bet it still goes a bit wonky in that depression on the right side though ?

Look at say a wing mirror shell, the front face would typically look quite nice but the upper / lower / left / right edges and the corners that connect them would be ‘interesting’ - again, all in my opinion …

I added a mirror shell in the pics above, all in the technique but I do know what you mean Some real carbon does that too though lol

Yeah I have seen that, and I think we are simultaneously disagreeing and agreeing a bit with each other … lol.

It’s not a good photo and it’s also from a good angle - kind of like me sucking my belly in on a family photo

You know, that you just know - especially if you have got both items in hand.

And as you alluded to, sometimes real carbon has its imperfections and that’s also an Achilles with the dipped stuff - sometimes it can look too good.

I have real carbon on bike components and from an engineering perspective I like to see how they have got it to sit in the mould, where the weave was cut and joined, how well they disguised the joint etc

Real tits or fake tits ? There’s an argument for both … but I like real …

Has anyone had hydrographic designs applied to engine parts like valve covers or tops of superchargers? Looking to dress up the engine bay.

I did look at this option and they have some great designs out there. The time I was looking into it, the had a pretty healthy price tag attached to each part. I did end up getting a hydrodipped front Mustang emblem. It’s been on about 2 years now and it’s pretty sun faded. FYI before dropping big cash on hydro dipped parts.
