I don't care how much faster it is or isn't. It's still a Camaro and I personally don't care for them. But competition breeds greatness. If either Ford or Chevy just rolled over and gave up neither car would be where it is today. They Camaro coming back was the best thing to happen for the Mustang.

Also I don't care for the way the Camaro is upgraded. Everything always seems like a hand me down from the big brother. I enjoy the fact that the Mustang seems independently designed and engineered. Not like, hey how do we make the Camaro faster this year? Oh, I know, we can put a Corvette motor in it!!!

Actually, I did net torque sweeps. The 3.55 auto mustang will be faster from 2nd gear on, or should. The info is in the massive locked camaro vs mustang thread of you're interested. Last 15 pages or so.

EDIT: the end result was basically the LT1 output more in first gear, however the longer gears ended up hurting total net torque output. I got an equation describing the net torque curve, integrated from the beginning RPM (which changes gear to gear) to redline, and multiplied it out by the gear ratios. The Camaro gear ratios are closer together in the auto trans than the Mustang, so after a shift, it's higher in RPMs relative to it's redline. The Mustang has more RPM to work with as the gear differences are spread out more in the trans (effectively giving a longer RPM band to work with in the next gear), as well as a higher final drive ratio.
The Camaro is 4 seconds faster to 150. That is a huge difference. We will see shortly how that translates to track times.

The only reason the Mustang doesn;t use hand me downs from a big brother is because it does not have one at the time. I guarantee you in the near future the TT EB in the FGT will be in the Mustang.

I feel the money spent on that motor is out of the Mustang's budget. I'm not saying the Mustang won't see a big power turbo motor. But don't think it will be a transplant. Sharing technology between platforms is one thing and expected. But doing a motor swap is another. I'm using the term motor swap loosely of course.

use an online calculator, and add 200 lbs for the driver, really, this is so simple even a chevy troll can do it.

Mustang = 440 Reasonable, +5 HP
Corvette = 466 Reasonable, +6 HP
Camaro = 482 !RINGER!, +27 HP

That's a tuned up car, you can expect 114 out of your Camaro in the real world, about 2 mph faster than a comparable GT, funny how a tune is right in that ball park of gain over stock, isn't it.

Use the weight and the mph from the first post, add 200 pounds for the driver and use an online calculator, then learn.

MPH don't lie, and the formula is the same between all cars. This has worked since isky made the dream wheel for figuring out these things. Its not perfect, but its damn close. Even wheel-spin wont affect mph much unless its ridiculous.
